This page allows you to shift the ownership of customer parts.

The “Transfer Ownership for Customer Parts” page appears.

Display Option

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether you want to retrieve parts for which ownership is already transferred or parts for which you want to change ownership. The system displays the following – Processed and Pending Transfer. Select,

  • “Processed”, to search for parts whose ownership transfer is already processed. This option is used to add/amend issue details to an existing transfer document.

  • “Pending Transfer”, to search for parts for which you want to change ownership.

By default, this field displays “Pending Transfer”.

Select Option

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the search must include all customer-owned parts or only customer order-linked parts. The system displays the following – All Customer Parts and Customer Order Based.

If Display Option is “Pending Transfer” and Select Option is “All Customer Parts”, the system displays all the customer-owned parts with available stock.

If Select Option is “Customer Order Linked” and Display Option is “Processed”, the system displays all the customer parts with reference to customer order, for which ownership has been transferred and a valid ownership transfer document exists .

By default, this field displays “Customer Order Based”.

Customer #

The identification number of the customer Mandatory (Alphanumeric, 45).

The system displays all parts owned by the customer you specify here.

Customer Order #

The identification number of the customer order (Alphanumeric, 40).

The system displays all parts owned by the customer linked to the customer order you specify here.

Removed from Aircraft Reg #

The identification number of the aircraft from which the part was removed (Alphanumeric, 90).

The system displays all parts removed from the aircraft you specify here.

Part Location

Use the drop-down list box to select the location of the part Mandatory. The system displays the values – “Ware House”, “Work Center” and “Repair Agency”.

If Display option is “Pending for Transfer”, Select option is “All Customer Parts”  and Part location is ‘Warehouse’ then system displays all the Customer owned parts that are in stock.

If Display Option is “Pending for Ownership Transfer”, Select Option is “Customer Order Linked” and Part Location is “Warehouse”, the system displays customer-owned parts; with last updated document as “Maintenance Return” or “Repair Receipt”.

If Display Option is “Pending for Ownership Transfer”, Select Option is “Customer Order Linked” and Part Location is “Repair Agency”, the system displays customer-owned parts, issued to a repair order based on a customer order but not yet received after repair.

If Display Option is “Pending for transfer”, Select Option is “Customer Order Linked” and the part location is “Work Center”, the system displays all the customer-owned parts issued as main core to a component work order that has reference to a customer order.

Primary Work Center

Use the drop-down list box to select the primary work center.

The system displays all the parts associated with the primary work center you specify here.

Warehouse #

Use the drop-down list box to select the warehouse where the part is stored.

The system displays the parts lying in the warehouse that you specify here.

Part Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the part. The system displays  the following values: “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable”, “Raw Material”, “Miscellaneous” and “Kit”.

The system displays all the parts of the part type you specify here.

By default, this field displays “Component”.

Part Group

The part group to which the part belongs, (Alphanumeric, 25).

The system displays all the parts defined under part groups with codes similar to the number you specify here.

Turn in Document Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the latest reference document, against  which the part was moved to the current location.

The system displays all the parts with the type of the last updated document the same as specified here.

Turn in Document #

The identification number of the latest reference document, against which the part was moved to current location and status,  (Alphanumeric, 40).

The system displays all the parts with number of the last updated document similar to the document number specified here.

Turn in Part #

The identification number of the moved part, (Alphanumeric, 40).

Turn in Part Serial #

The serial number of the moved part, (Alphanumeric, 40).

The system displays all the parts with similar serial numbers in combination with the part #that you specify here.

Turn in Lot #

The lot number of the moved part, (Alphanumeric, 18).

The system displays all the parts with similar lot numbers # in combination with the part # that you specify here.

Component #

The identification number of the moved component, (Alphanumeric, 20).

The system displays all the components with numbers similar to the value you specify here.

Stock Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the stock status of the moved part. The system displays all the “Active” stock statuses mapped to the Status Attribute “Ownership-Customer” in User Defined Stock Status business component.

The system displays all the parts with the stock status that you specify here.

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the moved part. The system displays all the quick codes defined for the Quick Code Type “User Status for Ownership Change” in the Stock Maintenance component.

The system displays all the parts with the user status that you specify here.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Ownership Transfer #

The identification number of the ownership transfer.

Customer Name

The name of the customer, who is the owner of the part.

Customer Order #

The identification number of the customer order associated with the part.

This field displays value only if the Select Option is “Customer Order Based”.

Turn in Document Type

The type of the reference document, against which the part is moved to the current location.

Turn in Document #

The identification number of the reference document,  against  which the part moved to the current location.

Located at

The current location of the part, such as “Ware House”, “Work Center” or “Repair Agency”.

Location Name

The name of the warehouse/work center/repair agency where the part is currently stored.

Part Type

The type of the part, such as “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable”, “Raw Material”, “Miscellaneous” or “Kit”.

Turn in Part #

The identification number of the part for which the ownership is to be changed or has already been changed.

Serial #

The serial number of the part for which the ownership is to be changed or has already been changed.

Turn-in Lot #

The lot number of the part for which the ownership is to be changed or has already been changed.

Quantity

The numbers of the part for which the ownership is to be changed or has already been changed.

This quantity must be confirmed by the issue document displayed in the “Turn in Document #” field.

Stock Status

The stock status of the part for which the ownership is to be changed or has already been changed.

The following details relate to issues pertaining to the part, happening before or after the ownership change. The system displays the following after you enter the issue document number.

Issue Doc. Type

The type of the issue document, such as Maintenance Issue or Packslip Issue.

Note: You can change the issue document details including Issue Document #, Replaced Part #, Replaced Part Serial #, Replaced Lot #, Stock Status and, User Status for ownership-changed parts only.

Issue Document #

The identification number of the issue document that indicates the part issued to replace the ownership-transferred part.

Note: 1) The status of the issue document, must be “Confirmed”. 2) The customer associated with the customer order towards which the part is issued must be the same customer from whom the turn-in part is received.

Replacement Part #

The identification number of the part issued to replace the ownership-transferred part.

Serial #

The serial number of the part issued to replace the ownership-transferred part.

Replaced Lot #

The lot number of the part issued to replace the ownership-transferred part.

Replaced Quantity

The numbers of part issued to replace the ownership-transferred part.

This value must be less than or equal to the value in the “Quantity” field.

Note: The replaced quantity must be less than or equal to the quantity confirmed by the referred issue document for the Part #, Serial # and Replaced Lot # combination.

Stock Status

The stock status of the part issued to replace the ownership-transferred part.

Note: If the Transfer Type is “Retain with Customer”, issue document details are not required.

The system displays the following

Stock Status Conversion #

The identification number of the stock status conversion transaction.

Transfer Type

The transfer type of the part issued to replace the ownership-transferred part.

Note: If the Transfer Type is “Retain with Customer”, you must not specify the following fields - Issue Document #, Replaced Part #, Replaced Lot #, Replaced Quantity and, Stock Status.

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the part after the transfer of ownership. The system displays all the quick codes defined for the Quick Code Type “User Status for Ownership Change” in the Stock Maintenance component.

Remarks

Any comments or additional information on the stock status conversion of issued parts.

Reference #

The identification number of the reference item pertaining to stock status conversion.

Other Details

Any additional information on stock status conversion.

Valuation Option

Use the drop-down list box to select the cost of ownership transfer.

By default, this field displays “Zero”.

File Name

The name of document supporting the ownership transfer.

The system displays the following

Transaction Date

The date on which the ownership is changed.

Created By

The login ID of the employee who first transferred the ownership of the part.

Created Date

The date on which the employee first transferred the ownership of the part.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the employee who last transferred the ownership of the part.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the employee last transferred the ownership of the part.

The system displays the following in the “Ownership Transfer Document Details” group box.

Ownership Transfer #

The identification number of the ownership transfer document.

The system allots this value after the ownership details are saved.

Transaction Date

The date on which the ownership is changed. Mandatory (Date Format).

By default, the system displays the System date.

Note: The date you specify in the above field must not be prior to or later than the System date.

Transfer Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the ownership transfer type for the part. The system displays the values – “Flat Exchange”, “Retain with Customer” and, “Transfer – No Replacement”.

To Stock Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the stock status of the part after ownership transfer. The system displays those stock statuses mapped to the Status Attribute “Ownership-Internal”, which are mapped to the transaction “Stock Status Conversion” in the User Defined Stock Status business component.

You must not specify any value in this field, if the Transfer Type is “Retain with Customer”.

The system performs the following tasks on transfer of ownership of customer-owned parts to “internal” under specific conditions.

i)         All the work orders associated with the customer order, belonging to the same component as the selected work order.

ii)       All the work orders with the same work scope as the selected work order.

iii)      All the work orders with the selected work order as the parent.

iv)      All the repair orders referenced by the selected work order.

Note: For ownership transfer to take place, the work orders within the scope of the selected customer order linked to the part must be in “Fresh” or ”Scheduled” status. Additionally, any work order in  "In-Progress" status must be pre-closed or closed.

 If Transfer Type is “Flat Exchange'” or “Transfer-No Replacement”, Part Location is “Warehouse”, the following conditions must be satisfied to update the ownership;

i) )The quantity selected for ownership transfer is available in the location.

ii) The part status is mapped to the transaction type “Transaction Stock Status Conversion” in the User Defined Stock Status component.

If Transfer Type is “Flat Exchange” or “Transfer-No Replacement”, Part Location is “Repair Agency”, the following condition must be satisfied to update the ownership;

i) The selected part must  be issued to the repair agent against a repair order and not yet received.

To proceed, carry out the following
