Transfer Ownership for Customer Parts-A summary of the activity
This activity enables you to change the ownership of parts from “Customer” to “Internal”.
The ownership of parts, which are customer-owned and available in stock or issued towards a work order or repair order can be changed. Towards this, you must specify the new stock status, transfer type and valuation option of the parts, subsequent to transfer.
You can also record details of parts issued as replacement for the ownership-changed parts.
This activity creates a “Ownership Transfer” document.
You can change the ownership of parts from “Customer” to “Internal”.
Specify the search criteria, to find the part for which you want to change ownership.
Specify details of the part, such as customer #, customer order #, quantity, location and stock status.
Select the “Update Ownership & Stock Status” pushbutton
You can record details of issued parts happening before or after the transfer of ownership.
Specify the search criteria, to find the ownership-transferred part for which you want to record issue details.
Specify issue details, such as document #, part #, serial #, lot #, stock status and quantity.
Select the “Update Ownership & Stock Status” pushbutton.
