Modifying station details
This page allows you to modify the station details that are already defined in the “Create Station” activity. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Station” under the “Common Master” business component.
The “Edit Station” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “Station Type Details” group box: |

Station Code Type |
The type of station code, which could be “IATA”, “ICAO” or “Others”. The system displays the type of station code set as default in the “Option Settings” activity. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the station you need to modify.
IATA # |
The reference code to identify the station (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the IATA code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the stations whose IATA codes are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the station irrespective of the IATA code. |
ICAO # |
The reference code to identify the station (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the ICAO code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the stations whose ICAO codes are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the station irrespective of the ICAO code. |
Other # |
The reference code to identify the station other than IATA and ICAO (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the other code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the stations whose other codes are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the station irrespective of the other code. |
Station Name |
The name of the station (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the station name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the stations whose station names are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the station irrespective of the station name. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the station whose details you need to modify. The system provides the options, “Active’ and “Inactive”. The system retrieves all the stations that are in the status specified here. The system sets the field blank by default. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve all the stations irrespective of the status. |
City |
The name of the city in which the station is situated (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the city name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the stations situated in the city entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the station irrespective of the city in which it is situated. |
Country |
The name of the country in which the station is situated (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the country name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the stations situated in the country entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the station irrespective of the country in which the station is situated. |
Time Zone |
The time zone in which the station is situated (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the time zone in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the stations belonging to the time zone entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the station irrespective of the time zone in which the station is situated. |
Note: Leave all the fields blank to display all the stations that are already defined in the system.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results in the multiline.
Modify the following fields in the “Station Details” multiline, if required:
IATA # |
The reference code to identify the station of type International Air Transport Association (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory, if the type of station code is “IATA”. |
ICAO # |
The reference code to identify the station of type International Civil Aviation Organization (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory, if the type of station code is “ICAO”. |
Other # |
The reference code to identify the station other than “IATA” or “ICAO” (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory, if the type of station code is “Other”. |
Station Name |
The name of the station (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the station. The system provides the options, “Active” or “Inactive”. The system sets the field to “Active” by default. |
Select the “Inactive” option, if you wish to disable the station from future reference in other activities. |

City |
The name of the city in which the station is situated (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Country |
The name of the country in which the station is situated (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Longest Runway |
The length of the longest runway in the station (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Runway Width |
The width of the longest runway in the station (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Latitude |
The latitude at which the station is geographically located (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Longitude |
The longitude at which the station is geographically located (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Time Zone |
The time zone to which the station belongs (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the time zone is already defined in the “Create Time Zone” activity and is in “Active” status. Help Facility available. |
The system displays the following:
Zone Description |
The textual description of the time zone. |
Modify the following:
Region |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the region for which the station is applicable. The system lists all the active regions as defined in the “Maintain Region” activity of the current business component. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
Org Unit # |
Use the organization unit to which the station is associated. The system lists all the organization units that are applicable to the “Work Center “ business component. |
The system displays the following:
Org. Unit Name |
The name of the organization unit to which the station is associated. |
Click the “Edit Station” pushbutton to save the modified details.
The system updates the modified details. The system stores the name of the login user and sets the current server date as the last modified date.
Select a station in the multiline, to modify further details.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Model Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page to enter the model effectivity details.
Select the “Edit NAVAIDS” link at the bottom of the page to enter the NAVAIDS details.
Select the “Maintain Gate” link at the bottom of the page to maintain the gate details.
Modifying station details – An overview
This page allows you to modify the station details that are already defined in the “Create Station” activity. You can search for the stations based on their IATA code, ICAO code, Other code, station name, status, city, country and time zone to which the station belongs. The system displays all the stations that match the filter criteria. You can modify the code, name, status, city, country, longest runway, runway width, latitude, longitude, time zone and the organization unit of the displayed stations. The system updates the modified details and stores name of the login user and the current server date as the last modified date.
