Creating Station
This page allow you to create station. Tell me more
Select the “Create Station” link under the “Common Master” business component.
The “Create Station” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Station Type Details” group box:
Station Code Type |
The type of the station code, which could be “IATA”, “ICAO” or “Others”. The system displays the type of station code set as default in the “Option Settings” activity. |
Enter the following fields in the “Station Type Details” multiline:
IATA # |
A unique reference code to identify the station of type International Air Transport Association (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory, if the type of station code is “IATA”. |
ICAO # |
A unique reference code to identify the station of type International Civil Aviation Organization (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory, if the type of station code is “ICAO”. |
Other # |
A unique reference code to identify the station other than “IATA” or “ICAO” (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory, if the type of station code is “Other”. |
Station Name |
The name of the station (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
City |
The name of the city in which the station is situated (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Country |
The name of the country in which the station is situated (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Longest Runway |
The length of the longest runway in the station (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Runway Width |
The width of the runway in the station (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Latitude |
The latitude at which the station is geographically located (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Longitude |
The longitude at which the station is geographically located (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Time Zone |
The time zone to which the station belongs (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the time zone is a valid code defined in the “Create Time Zone” activity, and is in “Active” status. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following:
Zone Description |
The textual description of the time zone. |
Enter the following field:
Region |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the region for which the station is applicable. The system lists all the active regions defined in the “Maintain Region” activity of the current business component. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
Org. Unit # |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the organization unit to which the station is associated. The system lists all the organization units that are applicable to the “Work Center “ business component. |
The system displays the following:
Org. Unit Name |
The name of the organization unit to which the station is associated. |
Click the “Create Station” pushbutton to create the station.
The system creates the station with the status “Active”. The system updates the login user name and sets the current server date as the created date.
Select a station in the multiline, to record further details.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Model Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page to update the model effectivity details for the selected stations.
Select the “Edit NAVAIDS” link at the bottom of the page to update the NAVAID details for the selected station.
Select the “Maintain Gate” link at the bottom of the page to maintain the gate details.

You can select the type of the stations, which you want to define, which could be “IATA”, “ICAO” or “Others”.
Set the “Station Code Type” field to “IATA” to define the stations of type “IATA”.
Set the “Station Code Type” field to ”ICAO” to define the stations of type “ICAO”.
Set the “Station Code Type” field to “Others” to define the stations other than “IATA” and “ICAO”.
