Select the "Edit Family Coverage Category" link from the left pane.
The "Edit Coverage Level" page appears.
The system displays the following fields.
Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. If the user does not define the date format, the system will display the date format applicable to the Organization Unit; this date format is predefined in the “Enterprise Modeller Company Definitions” |
Benefits General Info Unit |
The value selected in the previous page. |
Family Coverage Code |
The code of the family coverage record selected in the previous page. |
The system will display all the details that have been entered earlier. You can modify any or all the following fields.
Family Coverage Short Description |
A brief description that identifies the family coverage. |
Family Coverage Long Description |
The full description of the family coverage. |
Choose the required relationship, by selecting the check box that pertains to the relationship to be covered in the coverage category. Each of the relationship is described below:
Spouse |
Select the check box to indicate that the wife/husband of the person who enrolls is covered. |
Dependents |
Select the check box to indicate that the dependents are allowed in the coverage category. For example, parents, sisters, brothers etc. if you have selected this option, you must enter the maximum number of dependents |

allowed in the “Maximum Dependents Allowed” field. |
Relationship Restriction |
Select the check box to indicate that there are restrictions on the maximum number of persons to be covered under each relationship. |
To create relationships restrictions
Ensure that you have selected the “Relationship Restriction” check box.
Enter the following details in the multiline.
Relationship |
From the drop-down list box, select the relationship for which restrictions are to be created. By default the system will default with blank value. The drop-down list box displays all the relationship values defined in the General Masters Component. |
Maximum Dependents Allowed |
Enter the maximum number of dependents allowed for each relationship. For example, if you have selected relationship as “Brother” in the “Relationship” drop-down list box, you must also enter the maximum number of brothers that can be covered. |

Note: The actual mapping of the benefit year record to the organizational units is carried out in a separate page called “Map Org. Units”.
Select the “Save” pushbutton to modify the benefit association details.
You can enter opinions, comments and other details if any, in the “Remarks” field. You can also view these details, if they were entered previously.
Select the “Show Remarks” pushbutton. The system displays a dialog box containing the content that has been entered previously.
You can view, modify or delete the content.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the changes made if any. The previous page is displayed.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the changes made
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details entered in the page.
To delete the benefit association record
Select the “Delete” pushbutton, to delete the record.
The system checks whether the specified record is being used in any other activity. If it is not being used, the record is deleted from the database. If the record is being used by another activity, the system will throw an error.
To Proceed
Click the "Org. Unit Mapping" link to map the benefit year record to the organizational unit.
