Creating a Benefit Year - A summary of the activity
Through this activity, you can define a benefit year for an organization unit.
Creating a benefit year is a prerequisite to the creation and maintenance of the Benefit objects. Benefit objects include Benefit programs, Benefit plan types and Benefit plans. You can create a benefit year in two ways viz., Calendar year and Fiscal year. Calendar year indicates that the benefit year begins with 1st of January and ends with 31st of December of a year. Fiscal year indicates that the benefit year can have any start date and end date.
Creating a benefit year requires you to specify a unique code to identify the benefit year, accompanied by a short and a long description. You must also define the span of time, for which the benefit year is effective, by specifying the start and end dates.
