This tab enables the user to define the time and quantity fence to narrow down the rules to define for particular supply document, supplier, work center and part attributes.

Document Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the document type for which the time and quantity fence is defined. The system lists the following values along with a blank value.

  • Purchase Order

  • Repair Order

  • Release Slip

  • Loan Order

  • Rental Order

  • Shop Work Order (Repair)

  • Shop Work Order (Make)

  • Serviceable Quantity in stock

  • General MR

  • Replenishment MR

Part #

The number identifying the part.

Part Description

The description of the part.

Part Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the part type. The system lists the part types for which the time and quantity fence are defined. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Part Group

Use the drop-down list box to specify the part group. The system lists all the part groups for which the time and quantity fence are defined. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Part Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the part category. The system lists all the part categories for which the time and quantity fence are defined. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Part Source

Use the drop-down list box to specify the part source. The system lists the values “Make”, “Purchase” and “Make & Purchase” along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Supplier

Use the drop-down list box to select the supplier of the part. The system lists all the suppliers of the part for which the time and quantity fence are defined. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Work Center

Use the drop-down list box to select the work center of the part. The system lists all the work centers of the part for which the time and quantity fence are defined. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Document Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the document type. The system lists the following values along with a blank value.

  • Purchase Order

  • Repair Order

  • Release Slip

  • Loan Order

  • Rental Order

  • Shop Work Order (Repair)

  • Shop Work Order (Make)

  • Serviceable Quantity in stock

  • General MR

  • Replenishment MR

Part Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the part type. The system lists the part types such as “Component”, “Consumable”, “Kit”, “Miscellaneous”, “Raw Material”, “Expendable” and “Tool” along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Part Group

Use the drop-down list box to specify the part group. The system lists all the ‘active’ part groups defined under purpose Material Requirement Planning in the “Create Part/Service Groups” activity in the “part Administration” business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Part Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the part category. The system lists all the part categories defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the “Part Administration” business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Part #

The number identifying the part for which the time and quantity fence are to be defined.

Supplier

The number identifying the supplier of the part.

Work Center

Use the drop-down list box to specify the work center of the part. The system lists the work centers defined in the “Create Work Center” activity of the “Work Center” business component. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Time Fence

The extent of duration (as days)  which can be considered for amendment of Supplies in order to meet the demand.

Time UOM

Use the drop-down list-box to specify the unit of measurement of the time defined. The system lists the values “Days”, “Weeks” and “Months.

Pos. Qty. Tol

The extent of quantity which can be considered for amendment of Supplies in order to meet the demand (Positive Tolerance).

Neg. Qty. Tol

The extent of quantity which can be considered for amendment of Supplies in order to meet the demand (Negative Tolerance).

Quantity UOM

The unit of measurement of the quantity of parts.

Last Modified by

The name of the user who last modified the record.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the record was last updated.
