Create Maintenance Issue – A summary of the activity

A work order is created to carry out the maintenance work on a component/aircraft. The work order contains all the information regarding the tasks to be performed and the part requirements. The issue document that is created to meet the part requirements of the maintenance activities can be termed as “Maintenance Issue”. The issue document records the issue of the required quantity of the parts from the warehouse to the requesting document.

Create  issue document

Work order is a document that is created for carrying out the maintenance work on the component/aircraft. The work order requires parts for its execution. You can create an issue document for issuing parts required for the execution of maintenance activities through work orders.

• Use the “Select Reference Document” page, to select the reference document such as component work order , Material Request for issuing the parts.

• Go to “Create Issue” page, to create the issue document.

Enter warehouse and part details

Details such as the zones and bins of the warehouse from where the parts are issued and the lot number and serial number information, can be entered as storage information for the issue document.

• Go to “Storage Information” page, to enter the warehouse details (zone and bin) and the part details (serial controlled or lot controlled) for the parts issue.

View warehouse stock information

The information regarding the availability of the stock in the warehouse can be viewed.

• Go to “Warehouse Stock Information” page to view the warehouse stock details.

View stock availability for requested part and the substitute part

You can view the stock balance details for the requested part and the substitute part.

• Use the “Warehouse Stock Balance” page to view the stock balance details in the warehouse for the requested part and substitute part.
