Selecting reference document for issuing parts
This page allows you to select the reference document for issuing parts. Tell me more.
Select the “Create Maintenance Issue” link under the “Stock Issue” business component.
The “Select Reference Document” page appears.
Search for the Reference Document
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for material requests. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Maint. Exe. Ref. Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the maintenance execution document for which the parts must be issued. The system lists Aircraft Maint. Exe. Ref. # and Shop Work Order. The system retrieves material requests created/generated for maintenance documents of the type that you select here. |
Maint. Exe. Ref # |
The number identifying the execution document for which the parts must be issued (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the reference document number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves material requests created/generated for execution documents with numbers similar to that you entered here. |
Task # |
The maintenance task for which the parts must be requested. You can enter the task number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves material requests created/generated for tasks with numbers similar to that you enter here. |
Material Request # |
The material request against which parts must be issued. You can enter the material request number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all issues created against material requests with numbers similar to that you enter here. |
From Date |
The start date of the period in which the material requests were created/generated (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered is earlier than the To Date. |
To Date |
The end date of the period in which the material requests were created/generated (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered is earlier than or equal to the system date. The system retrieves material requests created/generated in the period between the start and end dates. |
Requested by |
The employee code or employee name of the person who requested for the part by means of material requests. You can enter the employee code or employee name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves material requests by employees with code or neam similar to that you entered here. |
Warehouse # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the warehouse that must issue the requested parts. If you are working in the Main base, the system lists all Active warehouses defined in the Storage Administration business component for the transaction “Maintenance Issue”, which are not currently offline. However, if you are working in a Field base, all Active warehouses for the transaction “Maintenance Issue” that are mapped to the offline area will be displayed in the drop-down list box. |
Trading Partner # |
The code identifying the trading partner for the parts requested in the material request (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the trading partner number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves material requests associated with trading partners with number similar to the number you entered here. |
Part # |
The number identifying the part , that must be issued (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all part numbers that are similar to the number entered here. Smart search enabled. |
Part Description |
The description of the part that must be issued. You can enter the part description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves materials requests for parts with description similar to that you entered here. |
Part Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the part for which the material request is prepared must be modified. The system displays the options as "Component", "Expendables", "Kit", "Consumables", "Tools", "Raw Materials" and "Miscellaneous". The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The number identifying the aircraft for which the parts must be issued. Smart search enabled. |

Material Request # |
The number identifying the material for there issue. |
Note: The system retrieves only those reference documents, in which the pending issue quantity for the part required is greater than zero. |

Priority |
The priority assigned to the material request. |
Issue Warehouse # |
The warehouse that must issue parts against the material request. |
Maint. Exe. Ref. Type |
The type of the execution document for which the material request was created. |

The execution document for which the material request was created. |
Task # |
The maintenance task for which the material request was created. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The number identifying the aircraft for which the parts must be issued. |
Requested by |
The concatenation of employee code and name of the employee will be displayed for the material request. |
Trading Partner Type |
The type of the trading partner, which could be “Supplier” or “Customer”. |
Trading Partner # |
The code identifying the trading partner. |
Trading Partner Name |
The name of the trading partner. |
User Status |
The user status of the reference document. |
Requesting Location |
The organizational unit that requested the issue of parts. |

Selecting reference document for issuing parts – An overview
If you know the reference document details such as the reference document number, its type, the warehouse that would issue the parts and the requesting organizational unit, you can directly enter it.
Search for reference document
You can also carry out a search based on the reference document number, its type, the warehouse that would issue the parts, requesting organizational unit, the schedule dates of the component work order and the number identifying the spare that must be issued. Based on the search criteria, details such as the reference document number, its type, the warehouse that would issue the parts, requesting organizational unit, the date on which the parts are requested, the priority and user status of the reference document are displayed in the multiline.
