This page allows you to map or unmap an aircraft to or from the Trip #. You can also swap between two aircraft. This page also allows the planner to plan maintenance activity for an aircraft for a selected period of time
The “Mapping” tab appears selected by default.
The “Edit Flight Code” page appears.
Enter the following details:
A/C Reg # |
Use the drop-down list box and select the aircraft to to be mapped to the Trip #. The system list all the "Aircraft Reg #" which are in 'Active' and 'Inactive' status as defined in the “Aircraft” business component. |
Trip # |
Use the drop-down list box and select the Trip # which you wish to map to the aircraft. The system list the ‘Trip #’ used in the flight schedules. Data entry in this field mandatory, if Mapping Type is selected as “Assign”. For other Mapping Types, you must not select any value in this field. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |

Use the drop-down list box and select the mapping as one of the following:

Swap Aircraft |
Use the drop-down list box and select the aircraft registration number which is to be swapped. The system list all the ‘Active’ "Aircraft Reg #" defined in the “Aircraft” business component. Data entry in this field mandatory, if Mapping Type is selected as “Swap”. For other Mapping Types, you must not select any value in this field. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Note: Ensure that values selected in ‘A/C Reg #’ and ‘Swap Aircraft’ are not same.
From Date |
The starting date in the range of dates from which you wish to assign / unassign / swap / plan maintenance activity for an aircraft. Mandatory. The date entered must be equal to or later than the current date. |
To Date |
The end date in the range of dates until which you wish to assign / unassign / swap / plan maintenance activity for an aircraft. The date entered here must be equal to or later than the ‘From Date’. |
Click the “Map Aircraft” pushbutton to assign / unassign / swap / plan maintenance activity for an aircraft.
The system does not allow you to map the same Trip # to multiple aircraft for the same date range.
The system does not allow you to map an Aircraft Reg # to more than one Trip # for the selected date range.
Assign:
If Mapping Type is selected as “Assign” in the “Mapping” tab, on invoke of 'Map Aircraft' button, the respective Trip #'s FH and FC values are transferred to the Aircraft selected in the 'Aircraft Reg #' drop-down list for the date range specified in 'From Date' and 'To Date'.
On selecting ‘Display Option’ as “A/C Reg #” in the header, after successful mapping, the system displays the Trip # concatenated with expected utilization FH / FC in bracket against the Aircraft Reg # against the respective date column in the multiline. Example:
On selecting ‘Display Option’ as “Trip #”, the system displays 'A' against the respective ‘Trip # - Date’ combination in the multiline.
Unassign:
If Mapping Type is selected as “Unassign”, on invoke of 'Map Aircraft' button, the respective Aircraft FH and FC values are transferred back to the respective Trip # for the date range specified in 'From Date' and 'To Date'.
Swap:
If Mapping Type is selected as “Swap”, the system swaps the respective Aircraft FH and FC values selected in 'Aircraft Reg #' drop-down list box, to the respective aircraft selected in 'Swap Aircraft' drop-down for the date range specified in 'From Date' and 'To Date'.
Maintenance:
If Mapping Type is selected as “Maint”, for the date range specified in 'From Date' and 'To Date', the system displays 'MAINT' against the respective Aircraft selected in 'Aircraft Reg #' drop-down list box, indicating that the Aircraft Reg # is set for maintenance.
