Eng. Doc #

The engineering document number in which the details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the engineering document numbers that are similar to the values entered here.

Eng. Doc. Rev #

The revision number of the engineering document for which the details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the engineering documents with revision numbers similar to the number entered here.

Revision #

The revision number of the engineering document that you wish to view (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the engineering document numbers whose revision numbers are similar to the number entered here.

Subject

The description of the engineering document to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character (Alphanumeric, 150). The system retrieves all the engineering documents whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the engineering document to be viewed. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Fresh – Select this option to view the details of the engineering document that are in “Fresh” status.

 
  • Cancelled - Select this option to view the details of the engineering document that are in “Cancelled” status.

 
  • Revised - Select this option to view the details of the engineering document that are in “Revised” status.

 
  • Released - Select this option to view the details of the engineering document that are in “Released” status.

 
  • Closed - Select this option to view the details of the engineering document that are in “Closed” status.

 

The system retrieves all engineering documents of the status specified here. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve details of engineering documents irrespective of their status. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Eng. Doc. Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the Eng. Doc. Type. The system lists the user defined "Document Types" in “Active” status for the "Eng. Doc. Type" in the interacting “Configure Document Attributes” activity of the “Common Master” business component. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Mandatory

Exe. Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the execution type. The valid options are “Major” , “Minor” and Blank. The system leaves the field blank by default.

 Category

 

Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the engineering document to be viewed. The system lists all the engineering document categories defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves all engineering documents of the category specified here. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve details of engineering documents irrespective of their category. The system leaves the field blank by default.

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined status of the engineering document. The system lists all the engineering document - user statuses defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves all engineering documents of the user status specified here. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve details of engineering documents irrespective of their user status. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Applicability

Use the drop-down list box to specify the applicability of the engineering document to be viewed. The engineering document could be applicable for an “Aircraft”, “Engine” or a “Component”. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve details of engineering documents irrespective of their applicability. The system leaves this field blank by default.

ATA #

The  ATA chapter on which the engineering change must be performed (Alphanumeric, 16).  You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the engineering documents containing ATA chapter number similar to the value entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve all the engineering documents irrespective of the ATA chapter number.

MCR #

The maintenance change request against which the engineering document is created (Alphanumeric, 40). The system retrieves all the engineering documents with the MCR number entered here.

Revision #

The revision number of the maintenance change request (Alphanumeric, 40).

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the engineering documents applicable to the aircraft registration number entered here.

Aircraft Model #

The number identifying the aircraft model (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the engineering documents applicable to the aircraft model specified here.

Part #

The number identifying the part on which the engineering document must be executed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the engineering documents executed on the part specified here.

Component #

The number identifying the component on which the engineering document must be executed (Alphanumeric, 90). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the engineering documents executed on the component specified here.

Get only Assigned Records

Check this box if you wish to retrieve only those engineering documents that are assigned to the currently logged in user.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Eng. Doc. Type

The type of engineering document.

Eng. Doc #

The engineering document retrieved by the system.

Eng. Doc. Rev #

The revision number of the engineering document.

Applicability

Indicates whether the engineering document is applicable on “Aircraft”, “Component” or “Engine”.

Status

The status of the engineering document, which could be “Fresh”, “Cancelled”, “Revised”, “Released” or “Closed”.

User Status

The user-defined status of the engineering document.

Exe. Type

The type of execution, whether “Major” or “Minor”.

MCR #

The number identifying the maintenance change request based on which the engineering document is created.

Revision #

The revision number of the MCR.

ATA #

The ATA chapter on which the engineering document must be executed.

 Category

The category of the engineering document.

Subject

The textual description of the engineering document.

The system displays the following fields in the “Employee Details” group box:

Employee #

The number identifying the currently logged in employee.

Employee Name

The name of the employee.

Selecting engineering document for viewing details – An overview

View EO - A summary of the activity

In this page, you can select an engineering document to view its details. You can carry out a search for the engineering document based on the Eng. Doc number, revision number, description of the engineering document, status of the engineering document, user status of the engineering document, applicability of the engineering document and the ATA chapter number. You can retrieve the engineering documents that are in the “Fresh”, “Cancelled”, ““Revised”, “Released” or “Closed” status. You are also provided with the option of retrieving only those engineering documents that are assigned to the login user.

Details such as the Eng. Doc number, revision number, applicability, status, user status, ATA chapter number, Eng. Doc. category and the description of the engineering document are displayed in the multiline.
