Entering part effectivity for change request

In this page, you can specify the parts for which the change request is applicable. The system displays the part details that are already associated to the change request and revision number combination. You can add more parts or delete the existing part details.

Select the “Edit Part Effectivity” link at the bottom of the “Process Change Request” page.

The “Edit Part No Effectivity” page appears.

Note: On launching the page the system displays the part details that are already defined for the MCM and the change request combination.

The system displays the following fields in the “MCM Details” group box:

MCM #	The number identifying the modification committee meeting.
MCM Status	The MCM status of the change request document, which could be “Draft”.
Change Request #	The change request number for which the part number effectivity details have to be entered.
Revision #	The revision number of the change request.
Change Doc Type	The type of the change request, which could be “MCR”.

Note: The system displays the part effectivity details that are already defined for the change request.

Enter the following field in the “Part Details” multiline:

Part #

The part number for which the change request is applicable (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The part number should have already been identified in the “Maintain Maintenance Info. For Partn” of the “Aircraft” business component and the status of the part number must be “Active”. Ensure that the part number is unique in the multiline.

Note: If you attempt to modify an already associated part number, the system displays an error message. To delete associated part number, check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline and click the "Delete" button.

The system displays the following field:

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Note: Ensure that atleast one part number is entered in the multiline.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the part for deletion or to define the serial number effectivity details.
Click the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the parts selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Effectivity” pushbutton to update the part effectivity details.

To proceed, carry out the following

Select the “Edit Serial No Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page, to specify the serial numbers of the part on which the change request must be executed.
Select the “View MCR Part Effectivity Details” link at the bottom of the page, to view the part effectivity details of the MCR.
Select the “View MCR Conditional Effectivity Details” link at the bottom of the page, to view the conditional effectivity details of the MCR.
