Create Authorization Committee – A summary of the activity
The Engineering Document must be authorized before they are released for execution. The authorization of these documents is done by a group of persons, referred to as Authorization Committee. There are different levels in the authorization committee through which the documents can be routed for authorization. The document is forwarded from one level to another level and gets authorized by the members associated to the levels.
This activity enables you to create an authorization committee and associate members to it. You can associate members at each level and set the rules for the authorization.
You can create an authorization committee in the “Create Authorization Committee” page. You can associate members to the authorization committee in the “Associate Members to Authorization Committee” page. The “Set Authorization Rule for Committee” page allows you to set authorization rules for the authorization committee.

An engineering document can be authorized or approved by various members in the organization. You can create an authorization committee that comprises various levels that would authorize engineering document.

Associate members to authorization committee
You can associate members to the different levels in the authorization committee. The members of the authorization committee would approve engineering document.

Set rules for authorization committee
Setting authorization rule involves specifying the change document type and the source document type combination that can be authorized by the authorization committee.
Use the “Set Authorization Rule for Committee” page, to set the authorization rules.
