This page allows you to process the pending work units that were created for component maintenance work. Tell me more.

The “Process Unserviceables for Repair”” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. If the format is not defined, the system will display the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

Source Document Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the source document for processing. The system lists the options “Planner Group”, “Visit Package”, “Work Scope” and “Technical Log”.

The system displays:

  • “Planner Group” by default, if this page is invoked from “Component Maintenance Planning “ business component

  • “Work Scope” by default, if this page is invoked from “Component Work Order” or “Component Work Reporting” business component.

  • “Visit Package” by default, if this page is invoked from “Hangar Work Order” or “Hangar Work Reporting” business component.

  • “A/C Maint. Exe. Ref” by default, if this page is invoked from the “Flight Log” business component.

If the Source Document Type is selected as "Planner Group", then ensure that the “Return Option” is set as “Originating Work Center”.

Source Document #

The number identifying the source document  for processing.

Note: When the Process Unserviceables for Repair page is accessed from the Create Component Work Order activity of the Component Work Order component, by default, the source document type will be Planner Group and source document # will be the Planner Group # associated with the login user.

Parent Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft from which the Component has been removed.

Parent Component #

The number identifying the parent component from which the current Component  has been removed.

Source Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to select the source work center from which the Component has been removed and sent for processing The system lists all the work center numbers for which the login user has access rights.

By default, the system displays the ‘Primary Work Center #’ of the work order, if available. Else the system displays the ‘Primary work Center #’ of the source document. The system leaves the field blank by default, if the primary work center is not available for both the work order and the source document.

Work Order #

The number identifying the work order.

Part #

The part number for which pending work units have to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 40). The system retrieves details of all the part numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Serial #

The serial number of the component for which the pending work units have to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 40). The system retrieves details of all serial numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Date Basis

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of date such as compliance, scheduled or alert date, based on which the pending work units must be retrieved. The system lists the options: “Earliest Compliance Date”, “Scheduled Date”, “Latest Compliance Date” and “Alert Date”. Leave this field blank to retrieve the pending work units irrespective of the date. The system leaves this field blank by default.

Date: From/To

The starting date of a particular date type of a pending work unit (Date Format). The starting date may correspond to the “Earliest Compliance Date”, “Scheduled Date”, “Latest Compliance Date” or “Alert Date”, as selected in the “Date Basis” field. The system retrieves all the pending work units in which the starting date is equal to or later than the date specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the pending work units irrespective of the starting date.

 

Enter the end date of a particular date type of a pending work unit alongside (Date Format). The ending date may correspond to the “Earliest Compliance Date”, “Scheduled Date”, “Latest Compliance Date” or “Alert Date”, as selected in the “Date Basis” field. The system retrieves all the pending work units in which the ending date is equal to or earlier than the date specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the pending work units irrespective of the ending date.

Work Unit #

The number identifying the work unit.

Maintenance Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the maintenance type of the work unit. The system lists all the maintenance types defined in the “Common Master” business component. The system leaves this field blank by default.

Advanced Search ID

Use the drop-down list box to specify the code that identifies a set of advanced search options to retrieve the pending work units. The system lists all the advanced search IDs defined by the login user in the login organization unit. The system retrieves the work units based on the filter criteria specified in the advanced search criteria taking into consideration other work units. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the pending work units irrespective of the advanced search options. The system leaves this field blank by default.

Job Source

The source of the work unit

Forecast

The work unit is a part of the forecast generated for the component

Eng. Doc

The work units which are a part of the maintenance program defined in an engineering document.

Opportunity Maintenance Work Units

The work unit forms a part of the opportunity checks to be carried out on the component

The system retrieves all the pending work units including on-wing, off-wing and unscheduled jobs with job status as "Pending”, for the main components and its child components available in the pending log.

The system retrieves and displays the “Work Order #” as the “Source Work Order #” and the “Work Order Type” as the “Source Work Order Type”, if the Component/Part #-Serial #/ Lot # combination is available only in the work center and not in the warehouse.

Note: When the Process Unserviceables for Repair page is accessed from the Create Component Work Order or Report Inspections and Findings page of the Component Work Order component, the part/serial as well as the work order details of the parent part as well as those child parts removed from the parent are displayed in the multiline, by default.

Part #

The part number of the component on which the maintenance activity is performed

Serial #

The serial number of the component on which the maintenance activity is performed if the Part Control Type is “Serial Controlled”

Lot #

The lot number of the component on which the maintenance activity is performed if the Part Control Type is “Lot Controlled”.

Under Warranty

Indicates whether the component is under warranty or not.

Work Unit Type

The type of the work unit, which could be “Task”, “Standard. Procedure” or “Work Package”

Work Unit #

The number identifying the work unit retrieved by the system

Work Unit Desc.

The textual description of the work unit.

Maintenance Type

The type of the maintenance work, such as overhaul, repair, others and inspection, to be performed on an aircraft

Execution Facility

The location where the work unit has to be performed. The execution facility could be either “In-House” or “Out Source”.

Est. Elapsed Time

The time estimated for the work unit completion

Time Unit

The unit of measurement for the time that is being specified, which could be “Minutes”, ”Hours” or “Days”.

Job Type

The job type of the component work order.

Schedule Date

The date on which the maintenance activity is scheduled to be performed on the aircraft

Job Source

The source of the job retrieved from the pending tray, which could be “Eng. Doc”,  “CMP-Engineering”, “Deferred”, “CMP” or  “Shelf Life Expiry” or “Discrepancy”.

Work Center #

The number identifying the work center in which the work unit will be performed

Source WO Type

The type of the source work order.

Source WO #

The type of the source document.

Rem. Days

The number of days remaining before the forecast arising of the pending work units.

This is calculated as:

Remaining Days = Scheduled Date – Current Server Date

Rem. FH

The flying hours remaining before the forecasted arising of the pending work units.

This is calculated as:

Remaining FH = Next Scheduled Value of FH – Current FH

Component #

The number identifying the component

Exchange Contract?

Indicates whether parts are under exchange contract with one or multiple supplier. If the exchange contract is available with only one supplier, then the system displays “Covered - <Supplier Code>” .If the contract exists with multiple suppliers then the system displays “Covered – Multiple”. The system displays blank if a valid contract does not exist.

SOS Disposition

The SOS disposition of the component, such as Suspected Failure, Confirmed Failure, No Fault Found or Not Applicable.

SOS disposition refers to the revised condition of a component as found by a mechanic/inspector and recorded at the time of amendment of component replacement.

Stock Status

The stock status of the part.

Parent Aircraft Reg #

The number identifying the parent aircraft.

Customer Name

The name of the customer if the Ownership of the Component is “Customer”.

This page allows you to process the pending work units that were created for component maintenance work.

You can select a planner group and then process the component jobs. You can carry out a search criteria to retrieve the pending work units that must be performed on the component.

The system displays the pending work unit details recorded for the component in the respective business components according to the job source. You can select the work units and assign them to the following:

You can also assign the selected work units to an existing works scope, and repair order.
