Setting advanced search criteria to retrieve work units
Select the “Set Advanced Search Criteria” link in the previous page.
The “Set Advanced Search Criteria” page appears.
Enter the following field:
Search ID |
The unique number that identifies the advanced filter criteria to search for the work unit (Alphanumeric, 30) Mandatory Ensure that this is a positive number and unique to the login user. |
Enter the following fields in the “Component Details” group box:
Part # |
The part number of the component (Alphanumeric, 40) The system retrieves all the work units associated with the part number specified here, taking into consideration the other options in the main page. |
Component # |
The number identifying the component on which the maintenance arising is forecast (Alphanumeric, 90) The system retrieves all the work units that are pending on the component number specified here, taking into consideration the other options in the main page. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component (Alphanumeric, 40) The system retrieves all the work units associated with the serial number specified here, taking into consideration the other options in the main page. |
Primary Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the primary work center that is responsible for carrying out the maintenance work on the component. The system lists all the work centers that are defined in the “Create Work Center” activity of the “Work Center” business component, and are in the “Active” status. The system retrieves all the work units with the primary work center specified here. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
ATA # |
The code that identifies the system in the aircraft where the maintenance activity is performed (Alphanumeric, 16) The system retrieves all the work units associated with the ATA number specified here, taking into consideration the other options in the main page |
Component Family # |
The number identifying the component family (Alphanumeric, 25). system retrieves all the work units associated with the component family number specified here, taking into consideration the other options in the main page. |
Part Classification |
Use the drop-down list box to select the classification to which the part belongs. The system displays the options: “Rotable”, “Repairable” and “Controllable”. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
Maintenance Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of maintenance to be carried out on the component. The system lists the options: “Overhaul”, “Repair”, “Inspection” and “Others”. The system leaves this field blank by default. |

Logical Operator: |
Use the drop-down list box to select the operator based on which you wish to set the advanced search criteria. The system lists the options: “AND” and “OR”. The system displays “AND” by default. |

Use the drop-down list box to specify the user-defined category to which the forecast belongs. The system lists all the 'active' forecast categories created in the "Create Quick Codes" activity. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user status of the forecast. The system lists all the user status defined for the forecast in the "Create Quick Codes" activity. |
Est. Elapsed Time <=: |
The time estimated for the completion of work unit. The system retrieves all the work units whose scheduled value lies in the range of the value specified here, taking into consideration the other options in the main page. Use the drop-down list box provided alongside to specify the time unit. The system lists the options: “Hours” and “Days”. The system displays “Days” by default. |
Est. Man Hours <=: |
The man-hours estimated for the completion of work unit. The system retrieves all the work units whose scheduled value lies in the range of the value specified here, taking into consideration the other options in the main page. |
Enter the following fields in the “Source Document Details” group box:
Source Document Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the source document type. The system lists the options: “Forecast”, "Eng. Doc" and “Deferment Request”. |
Source Document # |
The number identifying the source document of the work unit (Alphanumeric, 40) |
Work Unit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work unit. The system provides the options: “Task”, “Standard Procedure” and “Work Package”. The system retrieves all the work units associated with the type of work unit specified here, taking into consideration the other options in the main page. The system displays “Work Package” by default. |
Work Unit # |
The number identifying the work unit that must be performed on the component (Alphanumeric, 30) |
Click the “Set” pushbutton to store the advanced search criteria.
Assign a unique ID for the advanced search criteria
Specify estimated elapsed time and man-hours as advanced search criteria
Specify the source document type as an advanced search criterion
Assign a unique ID for the advanced search criteria
You can specify a unique ID to identify the advanced search criteria. This ID can be used for searching work units.
Enter the unique number in the “Search ID” field.
Enter the advanced search criteria in the respective fields.
Click the “Set” pushbutton, to assign the ID to the advance search criteria.
Specify estimated elapsed time and man-hours as advanced search criteria
You can specify the time estimated for the completion of pending work as a search criterion. You can also specify the man-hours estimated for the completion of pending work units, as a criterion for search work units.
Enter the remaining flight hours in the “Est. Elapsed Time <=” field.
Enter the remaining flight cycles in the “Est. Man Hours <=” field.
Click the “Set” pushbutton, to set the estimated elapsed time and man-hours as advanced search criteria.
Specify the source document type as an advanced search criterion
You can specify the type of the source document as a search criterion to search for the work units. The source documents can be one of the following: “Eng. Doc”, “Forecast”, “FCD” or “Deferment Request”.
Use the “Source Document Type” drop-down list box, to specify the source document type as a search criterion.
Enter the source document number in the “Source Document #” field.
