Selecting planner group for generating forecast

This page helps you select the planner group that will create the forecast for the planning objects associated with it. Tell me more.
Select the “Create Forecast” link under the “Component Maintenance Planning” business component.
The “Select Forecast” page appears.
The system displays the following field:

Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. If the format is not defined, the system will display the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the planner group number for which you wish to generate a forecast:

Planner Group |
The number identifying the planner group for which the forecast must be generated (Alphanumeric, 25) |
Select the “Generate Forecast” link provided alongside to generate forecast for the planning objects of the planner group.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a planner group: (Data entry in the following fields is optional.)

Planner Group # |
The number of the planner group which would generate the forecast (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the planner group number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the planner group numbers which are similar to the number entered here. |

Description |
The textual description of the planner group (Alphanumeric, 150).You can enter the description in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the planner groups whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |

Planner Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the planner belongs. The system lists all the ‘active’ quick codes of the “Planner Category” type defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves the planner group number of the category specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the planner groups irrespective of their category. |

Component # |
The number identifying the component family with which the planner group is associated (Alphanumeric, 25). The system retrieves all the planner groups associated with the component family number specified here. |

ATA # |
The ATA chapter with which the planner group is associated (Alphanumeric, 16) Ensure that the ATA chapter is already defined in the “Create ATA Chapter” activity of the “Aircraft” business component and is in the “Active” status. The system retrieves all the planner groups associated with the ATA number specified here. |

Part # |
The part number with which the planner group is associated (Alphanumeric, 40) |
The system retrieves all the planner groups associated with the part number specified here.

Click the hyperlinked planner group number to create a forecast for the planning objects associated with it.
Selecting planner group for generating forecast - An overview
This page helps you select the planner group that will create the forecast for the planning objects associated with it. If you know the planner group, you can enter it for a direct launch. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the planner group, description, planner category, component number, ATA chapter number and the part number. The system retrieves the search results in the multiline.
