Managing work actions

Select the “Manage Work Actions” activity under the “Smart Operations” business component.
The “Manage Work Actions” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Execution Record Details” group box:

Barcode actions
Scanned Barcode Value |
Scan the barcode of package/task/discrepancy in the input box under the “Barcode Actions” section. Alternately, you can enter barcode label printed in the package print or scan the barcode. Machine readable representation of data. By default the system leaves this field blank. |
Note: You have the option to decide the actions that are to be printed as Barcode Labels. This can be defined in the “Set Process Parameters” page in the” Define Process Entities” activity of the “Common Master” business component for the Entity Type “Package Print” and the Entity “Barcode Labels”.
What you scanned |
Indicates the action performed showing what has been scanned against what entity, as in the task or discrepancy. Example: Stop Clock on Task. |
The system intuitively derives the work / action that you, the user want to carry out with the document associated with scanned data.
Based on specific process parameters defined in the “Define Process Entities” activity of Common Master, the requisite tab in the Work Reporting Hub or Parts Hub appears for the scanned action / barcode. The table (popup) illustrates the impact of the process parameters defined under the entity type Package Print and the entity Barcode labels.
