How to use the web page

Using Online Help

       Select the “Project Rate Definition” link from the left pane.

The “Project Rate Definition” page appears.

Note: The “Project Rate Definition” page is launched only if the system parameter of “Timesheet Type” is set as “Basic”.

       Enter the following header details.

Project

From the drop-down list box, select the project. The system loads only the projects, which are of “Open” status and mapped to the logged in user/manager.

PO

From the drop-down list box, select the purchase order. The system loads the drop-down list box with the Purchase Order upon selecting the project.

 

Help available

       Click on the “Get” pushbutton.

  The system displays the following

Currency

The currency used for computing the billing amount.

Billing

The system displays any one of the following basis for billing:

  •  “Hourly” indicates that the billing is done on an hourly basis for the project.

  •  “Monthly” indicates that the billing is done on a monthly basis for the project

Applicable From Date

The date from which the purchase order is applicable.

Applicable To Date

The date until which the purchase order is applicable.

To define project rates

       Enter the following in the multiline.

Employee

The unique code of the employee.

 

Help available

The system displays the following upon selecting the employee code.

Employee Name

The name of the employee.

Department

The department to which the employee belongs.

Position

The position held by the employee.

       Enter the following in the multiline.

Rate

The rate or amount billed against the employee for the project. The rate may be applicable on an hourly basis or monthly basis depending on the basis of billing defined in the Purchase Order.

From Date

The date from which the project rate defined is applicable. The date must be entered in the format, “DD/MM/YYYY”.

To Date

The date until which the project rate defined is applicable. The date must be entered in the format, “DD/MM/YYYY”.

       Click on the “Save” pushbutton.

To retrieve the project rate definition using search criteria

       Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box.

Employee

To view all the employee codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of the employee code in any combination with wild card “*”.

Employee Name

To view all the employee names containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of the employee names in any combination with wild card "*”.

Position

To view all the position containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of the position in any combination with wild card “*”.

Department

To view all the department containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of the department in any combination with wild card “*”.

Rate From

To retrieve the project rates, which are within the range specified, enter the lower limit. of the rate.

Rate To

To retrieve the project rates, which are within the range specified, enter the upper limit of the rate.

From Date

To retrieve the records with the specific Mapping From Date, enter the From date.

To Date

To retrieve the records with the specific Mapping To Date, enter the End date.

       Click on the “Search” pushbutton.

Note : You can retrieve all the records if a blank search is given without entering the search criteria.

The system retrieves the following details in the multiline.
