Payroll Security Definition – An Overview

After a payroll is defined, it becomes necessary to restrict its access to only the persons who perform payroll-related operations. Unauthorized manipulation of crucial information is thereby prevented.

The Payroll Security Definition component is used to set and view the user permissions for a payroll or a payset, through the following activities that are briefly explained below.

Setting user permissions for a payroll

This activity is used to set user permissions for a specified payroll.  User permissions can be set for a selected payroll. Multiple users can be given permission for the payroll; the date from which each permission is valid must be specified as well.

This activity is used to set user permissions for a specified payset.  User permissions can be set for a selected payset. Multiple users can be given permission for the payset; the date from which each permission is valid must be specified as well.

Viewing user permissions for a payroll

This activity is used to view the details of the users for whom access was set for an individual payroll.  User permissions can be viewed either by payroll, by user or by payroll and by user.
