Glossary

Basics of using a Ramco Enterprise Series web page

The “Select Increment Set” page appears.

To select through Direct Entry

Use this method if you know the complete increment set ID.

The “Define Increment Set” page appears, in which you can edit all the fields except  “Increment Unit” and “Increment Set ID”

To select through Search Criteria

Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the increment plan ID or the increment set description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.

To specify the search criteria, you can enter one or more characters that the increment set ID contains. Optionally, you can enter the increment set description, increment type and increment pattern, to narrow your search. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.

Increment Set ID

The ID of the increment  set.  Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards.

Example, ANV-EMP*, will search for those increment sets that start with ANV-EMP. Other examples are *EMP and A*EMP.

Increment Set Description

The description of increment set

Increment Type

To view all increment sets that are of a specific increment type, choose this increment type from the drop-down list box.

For example, if you wish to retrieve only scale-based increment sets, choose “Scale-based”.

Increment Pattern

To view all increment sets that are of a specific increment pattern, choose this increment pattern from the drop-down list box.

For example, if you wish to retrieve only anniversary-based increment sets, choose “Anniversary-based”.

Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are applicable to the selected increment unit.

Increment Set ID

The unique ID of each increment set

Increment Set Description

The description of the increment set

Increment Type

The type of the increment set.

If you had specified an increment type as search criteria, only increment sets of this specified type will be displayed.

Increment Pattern

The pattern of the increment set.

If you had specified an increment pattern as search criteria, only increment sets of this specified pattern will be displayed.

The “Define Increment Set” page appears, in which you can edit all the fields except  “Increment Unit” and “Increment Set ID”
