Editing a period unit
Ensure that you have selected a period unit in the “Select Period Unit to Edit” page.
Select the “Edit Period Unit” hyperlink.
The “Edit Period Unit” page appears.
The system displays the following fields that cannot be modified.
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. Tell me more |
Period Unit Code |
The code of the period unit you selected in the previous page. |
Base Period Unit |
The system defined period unit. |
The following fields, displayed by the system, can be edited. You can modify any or all the following.
Period Unit Description |
The description of the period unit code selected in the previous page. |
Conversion Factor |
The conversion factor of the selected period unit |
Language |
The language you selected in the previous page is displayed. |
From the “Language” drop-down list box, you can select any other language, to retrieve the record in the selected language. | |
Save in Language |
By default the record is saved in the language selected in the beginning. |
Select the language in which you wish to save the modifications, from the drop-down list box. | |
Applicable To |
You can modify the existing organization mapping of the period unit, by selecting one out of the following three options from the drop-down list box: “All Org. Units”, “Login Org. Units” or “Selective Org. Units”. If you select |

Note: If you change the “Applicability To” field to “Selective Org. Unit”, the actual mapping must be done in the “Map Org. Units” page. Remember to save the details in the current page, before opening the “Map Org. Units” page
Conversion factor |
Specify the new conversion factor of the period unit with relation to the base period unit. For example if the base period is Hour and the period unit is Day, the conversion factor is 8 (hours). |
After you complete the details, select the “Save” pushbutton to record the changes carried out in the period unit record.
Select the zoom icon beside the “Comments” field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.
You can view, edit or delete the content.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton of the web page toolbar to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
Select the “Delete” pushbutton, to delete the record from the database.
