Element Attributes - A summary of the activity
This activity enables you to enter the attributes for a pay element, which can be either a payment or deduction. The system will consider these attributes and accordingly calculate the payment or deduction for the employees for the specified process period range. You are to specify the payroll calendar, element, and the process period range for which the attributes are defined. In addition, you can modify the details that you have already entered.
Note: If you do not enter
the process period till which the amount entered is applicable, the system
will consider the amount as an open entry and consider the attribute for
all the future process periods.
If type is changed for any process period range for which payroll is closed,
the Payroll Administrator should run the arrears. The payroll administrator
has to ensure that the arrear process is carried out after the change
in the attributes.
