Defining Bonus/increment rates for employees who are exceptions
Select the “Employee Exception Performance Bonus/Increment Rates” link from the left pane.
The “Employee Exception Performance Bonus/Increment Rates” page appears.
Enter the following
Appraisal Setup Unit |
The drop-down list box displays the set of organization units in which the Appraisal Setup component is deployed. Tell me more. From the “Appraisal Setup Unit” drop-down list box, select the organization unit, where the bonus or increment rates for exceptions has been defined. |
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Employment Unit |
From the “Employment Unit” drop-down list, select the organization unit that interacts with the Appraisal Setup Unit for which the employee exception for bonus or increments must be defined. This organization unit must hold the Employment Information component. |
Appraisal Type |
Select the appraisal type under which the employee exception must be defined. |
Appraisal Calendar Code |
Enter the code of the appraisal calendar for which the employee exception must be defined. Help Available |
Calendar Short Description |
If you select the appraisal calendar code through Help, the system will display the short description of the calendar. |
Bonus/Increment |
From the drop-down list box, indicate whether you are about to define the performance bonus rate or the salary increment rate for employees. Choose one of the following: “Performance Bonus” or “Salary Increment”. |
Payable Payroll |
If you choose “Performance Bonus”, select the payable payroll from the drop-down list box. If you choose “Salary Increment”, leave this field blank. |
Payable Process Period |
Enter the process period in which the payroll will be paid to the employees. The process period will depend on the payroll that you selected from the ‘Payable Payroll’ field The “Payable Process Period” field must be entered only if you choose “Performance Bonus”. Help Available |
Enter or edit the following, in the multiline, to specify the basic details of each employee who is an exception
Employee Code |
The employee code of each employee who is an exception to the employee groups for which bonus or increment rates have been defined already. Help Available |
Employee Name |
If you select the employee code through Help, the system will display the employee name. |
Assignment No. |
The assignment number of the employee. |
Department |
If you select the department code through Help, the system will display the department name. |
Position |
Enter the code of the position held by the employee |
Appraisal Rating |
The appraisal rating is fetched at the end of the appraisal process. |
Appraisal Rating Grade |
The appraisal rating grade is fetched at the end of the appraisal process. |
Note: The employee’s appraisal rating grade will be available, because this activity is typically after the employees’ appraisal
Enter either “Percentage On Basic Salary” or “Amount” in the multiline, to define the performance bonus rate or salary increment rate for each of the employee exceptions
Percentage On Basic Salary |
The percentage of the employee’s basic salary, which will be given as bonus or increment |
Amount |
You can enter an adjustment amount, which can be added or subtracted from the percentage defined on base salary. This is optional. |
Remarks |
Any remark pertaining to the performance bonus or increment rate for the employee. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
To delete the employee’s performance bonus/increment rate details
Check the “Select” box contained in the multiline record that you want to delete.
Select the delete icon in the multiline bar, over the multiline.
The specific performance bonus or increment record is deleted for this employee.
To edit the employee’s performance bonus/increment rate details
Enter the Appraisal Setup Unit, Employment Unit, Appraisal Type and Appraisal Calendar for which the bonus or increment will be applicable.
From the “Bonus/Increment” drop-down list box, indicate whether you want to edit the bonus rate or increment rate for the employee exceptions
If you selected bonus, choose the “Payable Payroll” and “Process Period” for which the bonus rates have been defined.
Select the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The multiline will display the existing bonus or increment details for the employee exceptions
Edit the required details in the multiline.
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
The system saves the details.
