The “Training Needs” page appears.

The system displays the following details from the previous page:

Employment Unit

The employment unit of the employee.

Date Format

The date format that is applicable to the login user.

Employee

The employee code and name of the employee

Assignment No.

The assignment number of the employee.

Joining Date

The date of joining of the employee

Confirmation Date

The date on which the employee was confirmed in the organization.

Appraisal Type

The type of appraisal performed for the employee. It could be one of the following:

  •  Annual Appraisal

  •  Confirmation Appraisal

  •  Contract End Appraisal  

  • Any other user-defined through quick codes

Appraisal Calendar Code

 The code of the appraisal calendar in which the employee’s appraisal falls.

Calendar Short Description

A short description of the appraisal calendar.

Appraiser’s Employment Unit

The employment unit to which the employee’s appraiser belongs

Appraiser

The employee code and name of the appraiser

Period From

The start date of the period from which the appraiser is mapped to the employee

Period To

 The end date of the period from/upto which the appraiser is mapped to the employee.

Employee Appraisal Status

The status of the employee’s appraisal. It can be one of the following:

  • Pending: The appraiser is yet to appraise the employee

  • Completed: The appraiser has completed the appraisal for the employee. In other words, the appraiser has marked the “Have you completed Appraising' flag as 'Yes'.

  • In-progress: The appraiser has started the appraisal for the employee but not completed it yet

The system will display the training needs already recorded by the employee, if any, during Self Appraisal.

Training Needs

A description of the training needs of the employee. This is to be entered as free text.

Training Area

A description of the specific area or domain in which the employee requires training. This is to be entered as free text.

Course Code

The code of the course that will provide this training. This course must be defined already in the “Create Course” activity of the Training General Information component.

Help available.

By Date

The date by which the employee must have obtained this training.

Course Description

The description of the course

Status

The status will be one of the following:

  •  “Submit“, after the training needs have been entered and saved

  • “Registered“ or “Rejected“, after the training needs have been registered in the “Register Employee Based on “Request” activity of the Training Administration component

  • “Enrolled“ or “Waitlisted“, after the training administrator has either enrolled the employee for the course or waitlisted him.

  •  “Completed”, after the employee has completed the course.

Page Overview

Through this page, an appraiser can record the employee’s training needs after entering performance appraisal, or an employee can record training needs after entering self-appraisal details. If the appraiser enters this page after the employee has completed self-appraisal, the appraiser can review the training needs specified by the employee. The appraiser can edit these details, if required. The appraiser can also add new training needs. To enter training needs, the following information must be specified

This information will be made automatically available in the “Register Employee Based on Request” activity of the Training Administration component. Based on this information, the Training Administrators can plan and schedule the required training for the employee.
