Reviewing the employee’s objectives
In the multiline of the “Select Employee to Review Objectives” page, select the hyperlinked “Employee Name” field for the required employee
The “Review Appraisal Objectives” page appears.
The system displays the following
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Employment Unit |
The employment unit of the selected employee. |
Employee Code |
The employee code of the employee who was selected in the previous page. |
Assignment No. |
The number of the employee’s assignment, for which he is reporting to the appraiser. |
Appraisal Type |
The type of appraisal performed for the employee. It could be one of the following:

Appraisal Calendar Code |
The code of the appraisal calendar in which the employee’s appraisal falls. |
Calendar Short Description |
A short description of the appraisal calendar. |
Parameter Category |
The parameter category defined for the appraisal calendar. |
Weightage Computation Level |
The weightage computation level defined for the appraisal calendar and parameter category. |
Period From |
The start date of the calendar. |
Period To |
The end date of the calendar |
Objective Mapping Status |
The status of approval of the objective mapping. It could be one of the following: “Approved”, “Pending” , “Not defined”, "Not Applicable". When the status of all the objectives in the multiline are approved, it will display the status “Approved”. |
Appraiser |
The employee code of the login appraiser |
Appraiser’s Employment Unit |
The employment unit to which the appraiser belongs |
Edit the following, if required, in the “Objectives” multiline
Objective Group |
From the drop-down list box, select the objective group from which you require to review the objectives. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in "Record Appraisal Objective Parameter" activity for the selected appraisal calendar in the multiline. The system displays "Blank" by default on launch of the page. |
Objective Type |
From the drop-down list box, select the type of an objective from which you require to review the objectives. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in "Record Appraisal Objective Parameter" activity for the selected appraisal calendar in the multiline. The system displays "Blank" by default on launch of the page. |
Objective Description |
The description of each objective assigned to the appraiser Help facility available |
Objective Detailed Desc. (Desired/Outcome/Targets) |
A detailed description of the objective. |
Unit of Measure |
Unit of measure of the quantitative target. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in user defined quick codes. |
Quantitative Target |
The quantitative target defined for the objective. |
Weightage |
A number to indicate the weightage that is assigned to the objective, with respect to the other objectives in the multiline. See example below. |
Rating Pattern |
Rating pattern applicable for the particular objective. |
System Rating Basis |
System rating basis applicable for the appraisal objectives. The combo is loaded from the system defined quick codes. |
Objectives Mapping Status |
The status of approval of this objective. It could be one of the following:

To compute the objective weightage, in percentage
Select the “Compute Objective Weightage in %” pushbutton, to display the weightage in percentage.
The multiline displays the following for each objective
Weightage (in %) |
The weightage assigned to the objective group, objective type, objective group-type and objective, in percentage. If the weightage computation level is set as ”Objective Group”, then the objective (within a group) is calculated as shown below: Objective Y1 weightage % = ((Objective Y1 Weightage / sum(Objective Y1 Weightage + ObjectiveY2 Weightage....))*Objective Group G1 Weightage % If the weightage computation level is set as “Objective Type” then the objective (all objectives within type) is calculated as shown below: Objective Q1 weightage % = ((Objective Q1 Weightage/sum(ObjectiveQ1 Weightage+ObjectiveQ2 Weightage....))*ObjectiveType T1 Weightage % If the weightage computation is set as “Objective Group-Type” then the objective (all objectives within a Type) is calculated as shown below: Objective Q1 weightage % = ((Objective Q1 Weightage /sum(ObjectiveQ1 Weightage+ObjectiveQ2 Weightage....))*ObjectiveType T1 Weightage % If the weightage computation level is set as “Objective”, then the objective (all objectives) is calculated as shown below: Objective Q1 weightage % = ((Objective Q1 weightage/sum(ObjectiveQ1 weightage +ObjectiveQ2 weightage....)) * 100 |
To assign “approved” for all objectives
Select the “Default Status as Approved” pushbutton, to set the “Objective Mapping Status“ field to “Approved” for all the objectives.
The system assigns the “Approved” status for all the objectives in the multiline.
Select the “Submit” pushbutton.
The system saves this mapping of appraisal objectives to the employee.
