The “Appraiser Recommendations” page appears.

The system displays the following details from the “Perform Employee Appraisal” page:

Employment Unit

 

The employment unit of the employee.

Date Format

 

The date format that is applicable to the login user.

Employee

The employee code and name of the employee for whom the appraisal was performed in the “Perform Employee Appraisal” page.

Assignment No.

The assignment number of the employee.

Joining Date

The date of joining of the employee

Confirmation Date

The date on which the employee was confirmed in the organization.

Appraisal Type

The type of appraisal performed for the employee. It could be one of the following:

  •  Annual Appraisal

  • Confirmation Appraisal

  • Contract End Appraisal  

  • Any other user-defined through quick codes

Appraisal Calendar Code

 The code of the appraisal calendar in which the employee’s appraisal falls.

Calendar Short Description

A short description of the appraisal calendar.

Appraiser

The employee code of the appraiser

Period From

The date from which the appraiser is mapped to the appraisee.

Period To

 The date until which the appraiser is mapped to the    appraisee.

Employee Appraisal Status

The status of the employee’s appraisal. It can be one of the following:

  • Pending: The appraiser is yet to appraise the employee

  • Completed: The appraiser has completed the appraisal for the employee. In other words, the appraiser has marked the “Have you completed Appraising' flag as 'Yes'.

  • In-progress: The appraiser has started the appraisal for the employee but not completed it yet

Overall Appraiser Rating

 A number to indicate the overall appraiser rating of the employee.

Overall Appraiser Rating Grade

The grade that indicates the overall appraiser-rating grade of the employee.

Note: Some of the fields in the “Recommendations” page change dynamically, depending on the Appraisal Type.

Recommended for Promotion

  • Check this box, to indicate that the employee can be promoted.

  • Uncheck this box, to indicate that the option is not selected.

Recommended for Demotion

  • Check this box, to indicate that the employee can be demoted.

  • Uncheck this box, to indicate that the option is not selected.

Recommended for Performance Improvement Plan

  • Check this box, to indicate that the employee is recommended for performance improvement plan.

  • Uncheck this box, to indicate that the option is not selected.

To recommend permanent employees

Recommended for job to remain unchanged for the next review period

  • Check this box, to indicate that the employee’s job will remain unchanged until the next review period.

  • Uncheck this box, to indicate that the option is not selected.

Recommended for job change within the department

  • Check this box, to indicate that the employee’s job can be changed within the department.

  • Uncheck this box, to indicate that the option is not selected.

Recommended for transfer

  • Check this box, to indicate that the employee can be transferred.

  • Uncheck this box, to indicate that the option is not selected.

Note: These recommendations could also be specified for employees on contract or on probation.

To recommend contract employees only  

Recommended for contract renewal

  • Check this box, to indicate that the employee’s contract can be renewed.

  • Uncheck this box, to indicate that the option is not selected.

Recommended new contract period

Enter the following

  • The number of months of which the new contract period will consist

  • The start and end dates of the contract period.

Recommended for contract completion

  • Check this box, to indicate that the contract will be closed on the contract end date and there will be no renewal/absorption of the employee into the organization.

  • Uncheck this box, to indicate that the option is not selected.

Recommended for appointment on permanent establishment

  • Check this box, to indicate that the employee will be absorbed into the organization as a permanent employee

  • Uncheck this box, to indicate that the option is not selected.

To recommend employees on probation only  

Recommended for Confirmation

  • Check this box, to indicate that the employee is to be confirmed in the organization.

  • Uncheck this box, to indicate that the option is not selected.

Recommended for extension of probation period for another

Enter the number of months for which the probation period will be extended.

To specify for all employees

The system saves the details of the recommendations, for the employee.

Appraiser Recommendations

Through this page, the appraiser can enter the recommendations for the employee’s annual appraisal. The appraisal could cover employees who are

4      Confirmed

4      On probation

4      On contract

Note: Although there is a separate page for entering recommendations for contract employees and another page for employees on probation, the appraiser can enter recommendations in this page without entering the other page. This is because this page allows you to enter a greater breadth of information.

Employees who are confirmed: The appraiser could recommend that

4      The employee’s job remains unchanged until the next review period

4      The employee’s job is changed within the department

4      The employee is transferred

These recommendations could also be specified for employees on contract or on probation.

Employees who are on probation: The appraiser could recommend that

4      The employee is confirmed in the organization

4      The employee’s probation is extended for a period. The period for the extension could be stipulated, as well.

Employees who are on contract: The appraiser could recommend that

4      The employee’s contract is renewed; this recommendation will apply only for employees on contract . The period for the new contract could be stipulated, as well.

4      The employee is absorbed into the company as a permanent employee

4      The employee’s contract is completed; this means that the contract will be closed on the contract end date and there will be no renewal or absorption into the organization

The appraiser can also specify the date on which the next review will take place. Any additional recommendations, comments and suggestions can be specified.
