Select Position Hierarchy to Edit

Select the “Edit Position Hierarchy” link from the left pane.

The “Select Position Hierarchy to Edit” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The date format that is applicable to the login user.

Enter the following:

Organization Structure Unit	Use the drop-down list box to specify the organization structure unit for which the position hierarchy is to be modified.
Language	Use the drop-down list box to specify the language in which you require to modify the record. By default the system displays the language in which the user logged in.

To select through direct entry

Enter the following in the “Direct Entry” group box:

Hierarchy Code

The code identifying the hierarchy.

Select the “Set Hierarchy Values” link.

The “Edit Position Hierarchy” page appears where you can modify the position hierarchy details.

To select through search criteria

Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Hierarchy Code	To view all the hierarchy codes containing specific characters, you can type in a starting range of these characters along with a wild card character *.
Hierarchy Short Description	To view all the hierarchy short descriptions containing specific characters, you can type in a starting range of these characters along with a wild card character *.
Hierarchy Long Description	To view all the hierarchy long descriptions containing specific characters, you can type in a starting range of these characters along with a wild card character *.

Select the “Search” pushbutton.

Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values. If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are available for the selected organization structure unit.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Hierarchy Code	The code identifying the hierarchy.
Hierarchy Short Description	The short description of the hierarchy.
Hierarchy Long Description	The detailed description of the hierarchy.

To proceed

Select the hyperlinked hierarchy short description from the multiline to modify the hierarchy values.
