Ensure that you are in the “Select Employee” page.
Enter the complete code of the employee in the “Employee Code” field.
Select the “Record Military Information” hyperlink beside the employee code field.
The system displays the “Record Military Information” page.
To select through search criteria
Use the search facility to fetch the required record in the multiline.
Select the hyperlink on the name of the required employee.
The system displays the “Record Military Information” page.
The system displays the following details.
Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. More Details. |
Employee Code Setup Unit |
The organization unit in which employee code parameters are defined for the login organization unit. |
Employee Type |
The type of the employee’s job. The employee type indicates whether the selected employee is a regular employee or has been hired on contract for a limited period or is a consultant. |
Employee |
The name and unique code of the employee. The system displays the value selected in the “Select Employee” page. |
Entering Service Details
Specify the following military service details of the employee.
Note: For a new military information record, the fields and drop-down list boxes will be blank. For an existing record, the system displays the values specified previously.
Date of Entry into Service |
The date on which the employee entered into military service. The date should be entered in the date format applicable to the login employment unit. |
Date of Release from Service |
The date on which the employee was relieved from military service. The date should be entered in the date format applicable to the login employment unit. |
Field of Service |
The field in which the employee served. For example Army, Navy and Air Force. From the drop-down list box, select the required option. |
Service Number |
The military Service Number of the employee. |
Trade |
The military trade such as,, logistics, infantry and marines in which the employee served. |
Latest Rank Held |
The military rank held by the employee, for example, Major and Colonel. |
Entering details of field assignments undertaken
Specify the following field assignment details of the employee.
Note: For a new military information record, the fields and drop-down list boxes will be blank. For an existing record, the system displays the values specified previously.
Assignment |
The description of the field assignment undertaken by the employee during military service. |
From |
The date from which the specified field assignment has been undertaken. |
To |
The date till which the employee continued in the specified field assignment. |
Type of Service |
The type of the employee’s military service. For example, Active Service, Reserve Guard and National Guard. From the drop-down list box, select the required value. |
Service Category |
The category of the employee’s military job. For example, Officer, and Enlisted. From the drop-down list box, select the required value. |
Remarks |
The remarks pertaining to the field assignments undertaken. |
Comments |
The comments pertaining to the military information details specified. |
To enter comments
Select the Book icon beside the “Comments” field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.
You can view, modify or delete the content.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
Select the “Save” pushbutton at the bottom of the page to save the details entered.
