Record Grade Based Salary Structure - A summary of the activity
Through this activity, you can define the salary structure for a grade and work location combination. You can also modify/delete previously defined salary structure records, if required.
Recording Grade Based Salary Structure: You can define the following key details for an organization structure unit, employment unit gradeset, grade and work location combination:
Code of each pay element
Whether the pay element value is defined as amount or percentage or derived based on a rule
If the amount is in percentage, Derived Type must be specified. This determines whether the pay element amount is a percentage of a specific pay element or based on the accumulator
The Derived Code corresponding to the Derived Type
Periodicity or the frequency at which the amount will be paid against the pay element
Indicate whether pay element is variable at employee level
Indicate whether proration and Loss of Pay ( LOP) is applicable for the selected pay element
Indicate whether the pay element value is flexible or not
Indicate whether the employee has the provision of opting for the pay element or not.
The rule applicable for computing the pay element amount, if the pay element is rule-based
The sequence number of the pay element
Upon clicking, "Compute", system computes the amount against each pay element and the Annual CTC amount applicable for the grade and work location combination.
You have the provision to define the Minimum Annual CTC and the Maximum Annual CTC and save the details
Effective Date: You can specify the date from which the record becomes valid for processing at the time of creation or update. When a new record is subsequently added, the effective period of the preceding record ends, whereas that of the new record begins.
Modification Option: When you modify the details previously recorded, the system provides two options for saving the changed record. You can update or correct the existing record. When you update the existing record, another record is created. A history of changes is maintained by the system, which helps you to refer to previous records at any time in future. However, when you correct a record, the same record is overwritten.
