Authorization depends on the following:
If the Workflow Configurator requires authorization, the system will require the processed leave carry over units to be authorized before these leave units are credited to the employee’s leave balance. If the Workflow Configurator does not require authorization, the system will directly credit the processed leave carry over units to the employee’s leave balance.
If in the process parameter 'Override Carry Over Units ' is set to ‘Yes’, the authorizer can change the carry over units. Otherwise, the authorizer can only authorize or reject, without changing the carry over units.
The number of authorized leave units can be less than the number of leave units for which the employee will be eligible.
If the authorizer modifies the carry over units, he or she must ensure that the modified carry over units do not exceed the employee’s current balance for the specific leave type
If the authorizer modifies the carry over units, he or she must ensure that the modified carry over units do not exceed the maximum number of carry over units allowed for the specific leave type
If the employee’s current balance for the leave type is negative, the authorizer must not increase the negative value. For example, if the employee’s current leave balance is –10, the authorizer must not increase it to –12.
