Maintaining leave type - role permission
Select the “Maintain Leave Type – Role Permission” link.
The “Maintain Leave Type – Role Permission” page appears.
The system displays the following.

The date format applicable to the login user. |
Enter the following
Leave Definition Unit |
From the “Leave Definition Unit” drop-down list box, select the organization unit for which you require to maintain leave type-role mapping. |
Leave Type |
From the drop-down list box, select the leave type. Note that the leave types of the leave definition unit get loaded in the drop-down list box. |
Enter the following in the multiline.

The unique code to identify the role. Help Available |
Role Description |
The description of the role. |

From the drop-down list box, select any one of the following options

Remarks |
Any remark pertaining to the leave type – role mapping. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
To edit or unmap roles to leave type
From the drop-down list box, select the Leave definition unit and the Leave type.
The system displays the roles that are mapped and the roles that are available for mapping as well.
You can map or unmap roles to leave type by selecting the role and setting the “Allow” status to “Yes” or “No”.
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
Note: You cannot unmap a role of a specific leave type if the leave type-role combination is being used.
Note: The parameters defined in this activity will be used only if you set the "Display leave Types Irrespective of Leave Type – Role Permission" status to "Yes" in the "Set Leave Parameters" activity.
