Select “Create Leave Calendar” on the left pane.
The “Create Leave Calendar " page appears.
The system displays the following.
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. |
Leave Definition Unit |
From the drop-down list box, select the organization unit for which the leave calendar will be applicable. |
To define a new leave calendar
Enter the following
Leave Calendar Code |
A unique code to identify the leave calendar. |
Leave Calendar Short Description |
A short description for the leave calendar. For example, Factory Calendar, Executive Calendar. |
Leave Calendar Long Description |
A detailed description of the leave calendar. For example, leave calendar for executives. |
Calendar From |
The start date from which the leave calendar will be in effect. |
Calendar To |
The end date until which the leave calendar will be in effect. |
Comments |
Any comment pertaining to the leave calendar. |
The “Leave Type” multiline displays each leave type that was defined as “Calendar based” in the “Create Leave Type” activity.
To map calendar-based leave types
Enter the following in the multiline, for each calendar based leave type.

Indicate whether the leave type needs to be mapped to the leave calendar, by choosing “Yes” or “No” from the drop-down list box.

Applicable Levels |
Indicate whether all or selective levels must be mapped to the leave calendar, for this leave type, by choosing:
To make only specific levels applicable to the leave calendar, choose (i) “Yes” from the “Map” field, and (ii) “Selective” from “Applicable Levels” field. |
Levels Mapped |
Indicate you have completed mapping all the required levels for the leave type. This field is displayed only after all the levels are mapped to the leave type. |
Ensure that you have chosen (i) “Yes” from the “Map” field, and (ii) “Selective” from “Applicable Levels” field, for the leave type.
Select the “Save Leave Types” pushbutton, after you have filled in the required information for every leave type listed in the multiline.
The “Leave Type” drop-down list box below the multiline will show only these specific leave types for which you had chosen “Selective” in the “Applicable Levels” field.
From the “Leave Type” drop-down list box, select each leave type for which you require to map levels to the leave calendar.
The “Level” field in the multiline below will show all the levels under the leave type.
In the multiline below, choose “Yes” in the “Map” drop-down list box, to map the specified level to the leave calendar. Choose “No”, to indicate that the level must not be mapped to the leave calendar.
After you have completed choosing “Yes” or “No” in each “Map” field in the multiline, select the “Save” pushbutton at the bottom of the page.
Ensure that you have chosen (i) “Yes” from the “Map” field, and (ii) “All” from “Applicable Levels” field, for the leave type.
Select the “Save Leave Types” pushbutton, after you have filled in the required information for every leave type listed in the multiline.
If you had selected “All” in the “Applicable Levels” field in the multiline, the “Levels Mapped” field will display “Yes.
Select the “Save” pushbutton at the bottom of the page.
To create a succeeding leave calendar
Select the “Get Leave Calendar Details” pushbutton, to retrieve the leave calendar based upon which you want to create a succeeding one.
Edit the new “Calendar From” and “Calendar To” dates. Ensure that the new “Calendar From” date is immediately after the date of the previous “Calendar To”, with no gaps in-between.
Edit any other field in the “Create Leave Calendar” page, if required.
Select the “Save” pushbutton at the bottom of the page.
The succeeding calendar is created.
Select the “View Leave Calendar” link from the “Create Leave Calendar” page.
