Recording previous employment details (Form 12B)
Select “Form 12 B (Previous Employment) hyperlink in the “Employee Tax Declarations” page.
The “Form 12 B” page appears. The system displays the following.
Employment Unit |
The employment unit to which you are mapped. |
Date format |
The date format as applicable to the login user |
Employee Code |
The unique code identifying an employee. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Tax Year |
The tax year selected in the previous page. |
To record previous employment details
Enter the following details in the “Income U/S 192 (2)” group box.
Employer’s Name |
The name of the employer |
Employer’s TAN |
The tax account number (TAN) of the employer |
Employer’s PAN |
The permanent account number (PAN) of the employer |
Employment From |
The date from which the employee has joined. |
Employment To |
The date until which the employee has separated. |
Section 10 Allowances |
The allowances deducted under section 10 by the employer |
Perquisites |
The perquisite value given by the employer |
Total Salary (Including Allw. And Perq) |
The total salary of the employee. |
Professional Tax Deducted |
The professional tax deducted by the employer. |
Provident Fund |
The value contributed towards provident fund |
LIC Premium |
The premium paid towards LIC policy. |
Income Tax Deducted |
The income tax deducted by the employer for the tax year. |
Remarks |
Notes, comments, etc. if any. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details entered.
