Through this activity, you can authorize the salary fitment details specified for an applicant. While hiring an applicant, a balance is sought between the performance levels expected from the applicant and the applicants’ expectation from the organization. Every organization, which seeks to attract the best talent, has to accommodate the compensation requested by the applicant on a rational basis.
The applicant’s proposed salary is planned by taking into consideration his/her current salary. To this end, the HR user can also use the internal equity details as a reference norm. Note that authorizing salary fitment details is a parameter driven feature which means that an organization has the choice to decide if salary fitment details should be authorized. If the parameter is set as such in the system parameters during deployment of the “Applicant Selection” component, the user can use this activity to authorize salary fitment details.
To perform salary fitment for an applicant, the following details should be specified. While authorizing salary fitment, the authorizer can make the necessary changes to all or any of the following details.
The currency in which the salary is to be paid.
The rated frequency at which the applicant’s salary is to be computed.
The base salary details of the applicant.
The payment frequency.
The pay element applicable to the applicant.
The earnings/deductions for the applicant.
Based on these details, you can compute the gross pay for the applicant and propose a salary for the applicant.
