Viewing the internal equity
Select the “View Internal Equity” link at the bottom of the “Perform Applicant Salary Fitment” page.
The “View Internal Equity” page appears.
The system displays the following on the top of the page.
Date |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
From the “Selection Unit” drop-down list, select the organization unit under which you require to select an employee for viewing the internal equity. Tell me more
To select an employee using search criteria
In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records. Optionally, you can enter values in all the fields to narrow your search. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Position Title |
To view the employee’s internal equity with position titles containing specific characters, enter one or more characters of the position title. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: Manager*, will search for position titles that start with Manager, such as Manager HR, Manager Finance, etc. |
Department |
To search the employee’s internal equity based on department that pertains to a position and containing specific characters, enter one or more characters of the department description. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: *Resource, will search for department descriptions that end with Resource, such as Human Resource. |
Job Title |
To search the employee’s internal equity based on job title that is applicable to a position and containing specific characters, enter one or more characters of the job title. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: Manager*, will search for job titles that start with Manager, such as Manager HR, Manager Finance etc. |
Grade Set |
To search the employee’s internal equity based on grade sets containing specific characters, enter one or more characters of the grade set. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: GS1*, *1, will search for employees whose grade sets contain the specified characters. |
Grade |
To search the employee’s internal equity based on grades containing specific characters, enter one or more characters of the grade set. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: An organization may have employees under the grades G1, G2, etc. If you enter G1, the system will search for all the employees whose grade is G1. If you enter G*, the system will search for all the employees whose grades are G1 and G2. |
Job Level |
To view the internal equity of all employees whose job level contain specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these employee names. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: *Management, will search for job levels that end with Management, such as Junior Management, Senior Management etc. |
Qualification |
To view the internal equity of all employees whose qualification contain specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these employee names. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: M*A, will search for employees with qualification MCA, MBA etc. |
Employee Name |
To view the internal equity of all employees whose names contain specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these employee names. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: Michael*, will search for those employee names that start with Michael, examples, Michael Anderson, Michael Smith and Michaels. |
Years of experience From |
To view the internal equity of all employees based on the years of experience within a specific range, enter the starting value. Example: If you want to view the information for employees with 3 to 6 years of experience, enter 3 in this text box. |
To |
To view the internal equity of all employees based on the years of experience within a specific range, enter the ending value. Example: If you want to view the information for employees with 3 to 6 years of experience, enter 6 in this text box. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the
system will fetch the records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the specified selection unit.
The system displays the following details in the “Salary Details” multiline that satisfy the search criteria specified.
Employee Code |
The unique code that identifies the employee. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Position Title |
The title of the employee’s position. |
Department |
The department to which the employee belongs. |
Job Title |
The title of the employee’s job. |
Payment Frequency |
The frequency at which the salary is paid to the employee. |
Base Salary |
The basic salary of the employee. |
Base Salary Currency |
The currency of the employee’s basic salary. |
Gross Salary |
The annual gross salary of the employee. |
Gross Salary Currency |
The currency of the employee’s annual gross salary. |
