Select “Edit Quick Codes” from the left pane
The “Edit Quick Codes” page appears.
Specify the following details:
HR General Information Unit |
The organization unit in which the HR General Information component is deployed |
Business Process |
A business process is an activity that records any aspect of information relating to the employee or the organization. For example, “Appraisal”, “Personal Details”. The drop-down list box lists all the business processes applicable to the selected HR General Information unit. Select the required business process. |
Process Variable |
A process variable is any item of information that is used in a business process. For example, blood group is one of the items of information that is recorded while recording the personal information details of the employee. The drop-down list box displays all the process variables applicable to the selected business process. Select the required process variable for which you want to add or edit quick codes. |
Note: All the necessary Process Variables must have already been defined during system installation.
Language |
The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. This refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity. From the drop-down list box, select the language in which you require to edit the details. |
The values in the “Quick Code Values” multiline below will be displayed in the selected language
This page is used to specify the search criteria based upon which the system must fetch the quick codes you require. This means specifying the organization unit group, the business process and the process variable to which the quick codes belong.
After the required quick codes are displayed by the system, you can
Edit the descriptions of the quick codes. You can also assign the status as active or inactive. If active, the quick code can be used by other activities
Mark a quick code for deletion
Add new quick codes for tor the process variable
Save the details entered in any available language. Saving consists of two aspects. The first aspect is manually saving the description in the required language. The second aspect is modifying the values in fields such as “Active” Note that the values in these fields are displayed in the required language.
Specify the following details:
Value Code |
A unique code to identify each quick code you define under the process variable. |

The name or description of the quick code. |
Value Description |
Select “Yes” or “No” to indicate whether the quick code must be active or inactive. |
Inactive |
“No” indicates that the quick code will be available for use by other activities. “Yes” indicates otherwise. Default is ‘No’ |
Comments |
The comments you want to enter pertaining to the details specified. |
Select the book icon beside the comments field.
The system displays a dialog box containing the comments entered, if any.
You can view, edit, add to or delete the content.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the changes.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to close the dialog box without saving the changes.
Save in Language |
The language you selected in the previous page is displayed. From the “Language” drop-down list box, you can select any other language, to translate the record to this language. |
To translate the details into another language, for example, from German to French
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details entered.
