Career Planning Unit

Select the employee’s career planning unit from the drop-down list.

To select through Direct Entry

Employee Code

Enter the code of the employee for whom career plan has to be viewed.

To select employees based on planned job attributes

Note: Enter search criteria the same way while basing your search on career actuals, except that your search criteria will be based on actual career job details and not planned.

For example, enter one or more characters n the “job title” field to view the records of all employees whose actual job title contains these characters.

Job Title

To view the records of all employees whose planned job titles contain specific characters, enter one or more characters of the job title.  Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards.

  • Example: Manager*, will search for those employee job titles that start with Manager.

Department

To view the records of all employees whose planned departments contains specific characters, enter one or more characters of the department description.  Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards.

  •  Example: *Resource, will search for the department that ends with Resource.

Position Title

To view the records of all employees whose planned position titles contain specific characters, enter one or more characters of the position title.  Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards.

  •  Example: Manager*, will search for those employee job titles that start with Manager.

Grade Set

To view the records of all employees whose planned grade sets contain specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of the grade set.

  • Example: GS1*, *1, will search for employees with grade sets containing the specified characters.

Grade

To view the records of all employees whose planned grades contain specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of the grade.

  • Example: An organization may have employees under the grades G1, G2, etc.  If you enter G1, the system will display all the employees belonging to the grade G1. If you enter G*, the system will display all the employees belonging to all the grades that begin with ‘G’, such as G1 and G2.

Work Location

To view the records of all employees whose planned work locations contain specific characters, enter one or more characters of the position title.  Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards.

  • Example: New*, will search for the work locations New York, New Jersey and New Delhi.

To select employees based on actual job attributes

Employment Unit

The employment unit of the employee.

Employee Code

The code of the employee.

Employee Name

The name of the employee.

Job Title

The title of the employee’s job.

Department

The department of the employee.

Note: (i) If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy this value.

If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values.

If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are applicable to the selected reimbursement claim unit.

(ii) The employee is able to view the career plan only if the “Show Plan to Employee” checkbox is checked in the “Employee Career Plan” page.
