Process Appraisal – A summary of the activity
After the evaluation of the employees under the appraisal calendar is complete, you can request the system to process the appraisal results. Processing implies closing the appraisals as well as the appraisal calendar itself. In response to your request, the system will identify all the employee records under the appraisal code and appraisal type, and check out whether the following conditions are met:
All the appraisers mapped to each employee have completed their performance appraisals
The overall appraisal ratings are computed for all the employees
The employee feedback and acceptance has been completed by all the employees
The countersigning officer has completed review for all the employees for whom the countersigning officer has been mapped
Note: If the last 2 conditions have not been met, the system checks whether the administrator has exceptionally shortclosed the employee appraisal through the “Appraisal Exception Handling” activity.
After the appraisal calendar has been closed, you can reopen it if required for any other processes / actions.
Retrieving the batch of records: To retrieve the employee records for which the appraisal is to be processed, you are to specify the following combination of filters at the outset
The organization unit
The employment unit
The type of appraisal
The appraisal calendar
The system will display the list of employees whose appraisals have been successfully closed, for each combination of grade set, grade and appraisal rating grade.
Viewing the list of employees: You can view the list of employees under a selected grade set, grade and appraisal-rating grade, whose appraisals have been successfully closed
Viewing the Error Log: The system checks whether all these conditions are met. If it identifies any conditions that are not met, the system records them as errors and displays them. The errors are either “Critical” or “Warning”. You can view these errors and rectify them before proceeding with processing the appraisals. You can record comments, remarks or opinions, as well.
