Using online help

The “Record Appraiser Mapping” page appears.

The system displays the following fields

Appraisal Admin Unit

The Appraisal Admin Unit is displayed from the previous page.

Date Format

The date format that is applicable to the login user.

Employment Unit

The employment unit of the selected employee.

Employee

The employee code of the employee who was selected in the “Select Employee to Record Appraisal Objectives” page.

Assignment No.

The number of the employee’s assignment, for which he is reporting to the appraiser.

Joining Date

The date on which the employee joined the organization

Confirmation Date

The date on which the employee was confirmed in the organization.

Appraisal Type

The type of appraisal for which the appraiser mapping is applicable. It could be one of the following:

  • Annual Appraisal

  • Confirmation Appraisal

  •  Contract End Appraisal

  • Any other user-defined through quick codes

Appraisal Calendar Code

 The code of the appraisal calendar in which the employee’s appraisal falls.

Calendar Short description

A short description of the appraisal calendar.

Appraiser

The employee code of the appraiser, in combination with whom the employee’s objectives will be recorded

Countersigning Officer

Enter the employee code of the countersigning officer.

To map appraisers to the employee

The  “Appraiser Mapping” multiline displays the employee code of the appraiser you had selected in the previous page using the “Set as Supervisor” pushbutton.

The multiline will also display the employee code of the employee, if the employee is eligible for self-appraisal. An employee is eligible if he or she is included in the groups of employees identified for self-appraisal in the “Set Self Appraisal Parameters” activity.

Appraiser Code

The employee code of each appraiser to be mapped to the employee.

Help available

Period From

The date from which the appraiser will be mapped to the employee.

Period To

 The date until which the appraiser will be mapped to the employee.

Remarks

Any remark pertaining to the appraiser

Note: If the employee is eligible for self-appraisal, and the “Include in Overall Rating” box in the “Set Self Appraisal Parameters” activity is unchecked, the employee’s weightage will be 0.Otherwise, you can enter the employee’s weightage. The employee’s self-appraisal ratings will be taken into account, when the system calculates his or her consolidated rating after completion of appraisal

If the “Appraiser Code” was selected using Help, the system displays the following

Appraiser’s Employment Unit

The employment unit of the appraiser.

The multiline display the following, for each objective

Weightage in %

A percentage, to indicate the weightage of the appraiser’s evaluation with respect to the other appraisers in the multiline

To change the appraiser

Change Appraiser Code

  The employee code of the changed appraiser. 

   Help Available     

Period From

The date from which the changed appraiser will be mapped to the employee.

Period To

The date until which the changed appraiser will be mapped to the employee.

Weightage in %

A percentage, to indicate the weightage of the changed appraiser’s evaluation with respect to the other appraisers in the multiline

Remarks

Any remark pertaining to the changed appraiser

If the “Changed Appraiser Code” was selected using Help, the system displays the following

Changed Appraiser’s Employment Unit

 The employment unit to which the changed appraiser belongs

Name

The name of the changed appraiser.

Department

The name of appraiser’s department.

Job Title           

The title of the job held by the changed appraiser

Position Title

The title of the position held by the changed appraiser

Employee Appraisal Status

The status of mapping of the employee to the appraiser. Given below is a description of each status:

  • Defined: This indicates that the appraiser has been defined/mapped for the employee.

  • Not defined: This indicates that the appraiser has not been defined/mapped for the employee.

Note: Each time you change the weightage, select the “Compute Objective Weightage in %” pushbutton to recompute the weightage of the appraiser’s evaluation with respect to the other appraisers in the multiline.

To define objectives for an appraiser

The “Record appraisal Objectives” page appears. Refer to Recording Appraisal Objectives

To save employee appraiser mapping

    The system saves the mapping of appraiser details.
