Attach / Copy Operative Chart of Accounts – Company – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to attach a chart of accounts or detach a chart of accounts from a company. You can search and select a chart of account to be attached or detached. The selected chart of accounts can also be copied to the “Main” finance book of the company.

Attach a chart of account to a company
Account codes that have been defined for a parent company can be attached to the subsidiary companies. The system attaches the selected chart of accounts or the selected account codes to the selected company.
Go to “Attach / Detach Account Code to Company” page.
Select the company to which the chart of accounts must be attached.
Copy a chart of account to a company
Account codes that have been defined can be copied to various companies. The system copies the entire chart of accounts or the selected account codes to the selected company.
Go to “Attach / Detach Account Code to Company” page.
Select the company to which the chart of accounts must be copied.
Detach a chart of account from a company
Account codes that have been attached to a company can be detached. The system detaches only the selected account codes from the selected company. An account code can be detached from a company if financial postings have not been made.
Go to “Attach / Detach Account Code to Company” page.
Select the company from which the chart of accounts must be detached.
