Selecting visit package to issue CoM
You can select the visit package for which you need to issue the Certificate of Maintenance. Tell me more.
Select the “Issue Certificate of Maintenance” link under the “Hangar Work Reporting” business component.
The “Select Aircraft” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box:
Visit Package # |
The number of the visit package for which you need to issue CoM (Alphanumeric, 18). The visit package number must have been already defined in the “Create Visit Package” activity of “Visit Package” business component, and it should be in “Released” or “Partially Released” status. |
Select the "Issue CoM" link provided alongside, to issue CoM.
Note: Ensure that the visit package is not associated to an aircraft with “Frozen” record status.
To search for a visit package
Enter the following in the "Search Criteria" group box, to search for a visit package. Data entry in these fields is optional.
Visit Package # |
The visit package number for which you need to issue CoM (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the visit package numbers that are similar to the values entered here. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft registration number for which the visit package details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the visit packages that are created for the aircraft that are similar to the values entered here. |
Title |
The description of the visit package to be retrieved. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character (Alphanumeric, 150). The system retrieves all the visit packages whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |
Project Code |
The project code associated to the visit package. You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages whose project codes are similar to the project code entered here. |
Visit Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the visit package to be retrieved. The system retrieves all those visit packages that are in the category specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of visit package irrespective of their category. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Visit Group |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the group of the visit package to be retrieved. The system retrieves all those visit packages that are in the group specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of visit package irrespective of their group. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center of the visit package to be retrieved. The system retrieves all those visit packages that are associated to the work center selected here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of visit package irrespective of their work center. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined status of the visit package to be retrieved. The system retrieves all those visit packages that are of the user status selected here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of visit package irrespective of their user status. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
CoM Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the CoM for the visit package which could be one of the following: |

CoM Required |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes” to retrieve the visit package for which the CoM is required. The system retrieves all those visit packages for which the CoM has to be issued, else select “No”. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
CoM # |
The number identifying the CoM that has been issued for the visit package. |
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer, who owns the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the customer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages raised for the customer number entered here. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer owning the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the customer name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages raised for the customer name entered here. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
Note: The system retrieves the visit packages, which are in “Partly Released” or “Released” status, that are associated to the work centers listed in the “Work Center #” drop-down list box.
Note: The system retrieves the visit packages only for aircraft for which the record status is not “Frozen”.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” group box based on the filter criteria specified:

The group to which the visit package belongs. |
User Status |
The user-defined status assigned to the visit package. |
Work Center # |
The work center where the visit package has to be performed. |
Work Center Description |
The description of the work center. |
CoM Status |
The status of the certificate of maintenance for the visit package, which could be “Fresh”, “Authorized” or “Canceled”. |
CoM Required |
Indicates whether CoM has to be issued after the maintenance activity is performed. The system displays either “Yes” or “No”. |
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer, who owns the aircraft. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer owning the aircraft. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the visit package for which the CoM has to be issued.
Note: You cannot issue a CoM to the visit package under the following circumstances:
If sign-off is pending for the work units in the work orders of status other than “Cancelled” or “Pre-Closed”.
If any pending work unit with next schedule date earlier than the current server date, exists for the aircraft or the component that is attached to the aircraft selected in the multiline.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the "Issue CoM" link to issue the CoM for the selected visit package.
Select the "Aircraft Due List Report" link at the bottom of the page to generate the due list report for the selected aircraft.
Select the “Aircraft Status Report” link at the bottom of the page to generate the status report for the selected aircraft.
Selecting visit package to issue CoM – An overview
You can select the visit package for which you need to issue the Certificate of Maintenance. If you know the visit package number, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on filter criteria, such as visit package number, aircraft registration number, visit package description, project code associated to the visit package, category and group to which the visit package belongs, work center associated to the visit package and user status. If the CoM has already been issued to the visit package you can search using the CoM status. The system displays the visit package details that match the search filter criteria.
You can also select the visit package for which you have specified “CoM not required” in the “Visit Package” and issue CoM to the visit package.
