Select the “View Warehouse Information” link in the “Select Warehouse” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked warehouse number in the multiline of the same page.
The “View Warehouse Information” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the Enterprise Modeling business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Warehouse Information” group box:
Warehouse # |
The warehouse number for which the details are displayed. |
Warehouse Status |
The status of the warehouse, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Description |
The textual description of the warehouse. |
Warehouse Type |
The storage type of the warehouse. The system displays one of the following: |

Finance Book |
The code identifying the finance book associated with the warehouse. |
Storage Location |
The code defined under a station to which multiple warehouses can be mapped. The parts are stored in a warehouse. |
Warehouse Category |
The category to which the warehouse belongs. |
Warehouse Group |
The warehouse group to which the warehouse is associated. |
The system displays the following in the “Address Details” group box.
Address |
The address of the warehouse. |
City |
The city where the warehouse is located. |
State |
The state where the warehouse is located. |
Zip Code |
The postal code of the warehouse. |
Country |
The country where the warehouse is located. |
Tax Region |
The taxation region in which the warehouse is located. |
Warehouse Incharge |
The employee code of the warehouse in-charge, who is responsible for controlling the warehouse. |
Incharge Name |
The name of the warehouse in-charge. |
The system displays the following in the “Warehouse Settings” group box:
All Part Types Allowed |
This box will appear checked if the warehouse allows storage of all types of parts defined in the “Create Part Main Information” activity of “Part Administration” business component. |
All Transactions Allowed |
This box will appear checked if the warehouse allows all transactions that are predefined in the system. |
All Stock status Allowed |
This box will appear checked if the warehouse allows storage of stocks that are in any user-defined stock status, defined in the “Create User Defined Stock Status” activity of the “User Defined Stock Status” business component. |
Allow Reservation / Hard Allocation |
This box will appear checked if the warehouse allows parts to be reserved or hard allocated. |
Allow Backflushing |
This box will appear checked if parts in the warehouse can be back flushed. |
Allow Offline Usage |
This box will appear checked, if the warehouse allows stock transactions during offline field operations. |
The system displays the following in the “Warehouse Capacity Setting” group box:
Capacity Constraint |
The capacity of stock accommodated in the warehouse to be viewed, which could be “Volume”, “Weight”, “Quantity” or “Not Applicable”. |
Volume |
The volume of the stock stored in the warehouse. |
Volume UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the volume of the part is measured. |
Weight |
The weight of the stock stored in the warehouse. |
Weight UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the part is weighed. |
The system displays the following in the “Other Details” group box:
User Defined Detail – 1 |
Any other additional details pertaining to the warehouse. |
User Defined Detail – 2 |
Any other additional details pertaining to the warehouse. |
The system displays the following “Attachments” group box:
File Name |
The name of the file used for document reference that is associated to the warehouse. |
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box.
Created by |
The login ID of the user who created the warehouse. |
Created Date |
The date on which the warehouse was created. |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the warehouse. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the last modification was done. |
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “View Zone Information” link at the bottom of the page to view the zones defined for the warehouse.
Select the “View Transactions Allowed” link at the bottom of the page to view the transactions allowed in the warehouse.
Select the “View Stock Status / Condition Allowed” link at the bottom of the page to view the stock statuses and the component conditions that are allowed in the warehouse.
Select the “View References” link at the bottom of the page to view the reference document details in the warehouse.
Select the “View Part Types Allowed” link at the bottom of the page to view the part types that are allowed in the warehouse.
Select the “View Interim Storage Area/ Associated Warehouse” link at the bottom of the page to view the interim storage area.

View the capacity of the stock
View warehouses of different storage type
You can view the warehouse of “Normal” or “Free” storage type. The warehouse with “Normal” storage type can be further divided into zones and bins for storing a variety of parts. This type of warehouse helps to store the parts in a structured manner, which also helps in traceability of parts. The parts can be stored in bulk in the warehouse if the storage type is “Free”.
The system displays either “Normal” or “Free” in the “Storage Type” field depending upon the storage type set for the warehouse.
View “Allow Reservation/Hard Allocation”
You can configure a warehouse as “Allow Reservation/hard Allocation”, which means the parts in the warehouse can be considered for reservation or hard allocation.
The system displays either “Yes” or “No” in the “Allow Reservation/Hard Allocation” field .
View the capacity of the stock
You can view the capacity constraints of the stock to be stored in the warehouse.
Set the “Capacity Constraint” field to “ Volume”, if the capacity of part is to be stored in volume.
Set the “Capacity Constraint” field to “Weight”, if the capacity of part is to be stored in weight.
Set the “Capacity Constraint” field to “Quantity, if the capacity of part is to be stored in quantity.
Set the “Capacity Constraint” field to “Not Required”, if the capacity settings are not required for the warehouse.
Viewing warehouse information – An overview
You can view the details of the selected warehouse in this page. Details of the selected warehouse, such as its number, status, description, storage type, whether parts in the warehouse can be considered for reservation/ hard allocation or not, the warehouse in-charge of the warehouse and the address details of the warehouse can be viewed.
