In this page, you can view the zones that are defined for the warehouse of type “Normal”. Tell me more
Select the “View Zone Information” link at the bottom of the “View Warehouse Information” page.
The “Zone Information” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the Enterprise Modeling business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Warehouse Details” group box:
Warehouse # |
The warehouse number for which the zone details are displayed. |
Warehouse Status |
The status of the warehouse, which could be “Active”, or “Inactive”. |
Description |
The textual description of the warehouse. |
Mode of Usage |
Indicates whether the warehouse is currently offline. This field displays Offline, Online or Not Applicable. The Offline Area # is displayed, if the mode of usage is Offline. Note: Not Applicable is displayed, if OFMS is not configured in the system. |
Warehouse Category |
The category of the warehouse. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Zone Details” multiline:
WH – Zone # |
The number identifying the zone in the warehouse. |
Zone Type |
The storage type of the zone. The system displays one of the following: |

Zone Description |
The textual description of the zone. |
Capacity Constraint |
The capacity accommodated in the zone, which could be “Volume”, “Weight” , “Quantity” or "Not Applicable" . |
Volume |
The volume of the stock stored in the zone. |
Volume UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the volume of the part is measured. |
Weight |
The weight of the part stored in the zone. |
Weight UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the part is weighed. |
Proximity Indicator |
The position of the stock placed in the zone, which could be “Near”, “Medium”, “Far” or “Blank”. |
Placement Priority |
The priority in which the parts must be received in the zone. |
Picking Priority |
The priority assigned to the zone. This is the priority with which the parts must be issued from the zone |
Status |
The status of the zone, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
File Name |
The name of the file used for document reference that is associated to the zone. |
Remarks |
Additional comment pertaining to the zone. |
Created by |
The login ID of the user who created the zone. |
Created Date |
The date on which the zone was created. |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the zone details. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the last modification was done. |

Select the “View Bin Information” link at the bottom of the page to view the bins that are defined under the zone.

View normal and free zones under a warehouse
You can view the zones of “Normal” or “Free” type. For zones of type “Normal”, bins can be defined within the zone for storing the parts. For zones of type “Bin” the parts are stored in bulk in the zone and bin cannot be defined for the zone.
The system displays “Normal” or “Free” in the “Storage Type” depending upon the storage type set for the zone.
Viewing zone information – An overview
In this page, you can view the zones that are defined for the warehouse of type “Normal”. Details such as the zone number, zone type, description and the priority in which the part must be supplied from the zones are displayed. Also, the name of the user who created the zone, the date on which the zone was created, name of the user who last modified the zone, date on which the zone was last modified are displayed in the multiline.
