Cancel/Edit Release Slip – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to modify the RS. The “Select Release Slip” page allows you to select the RS for modification. You can modify the RS, which is in the “Fresh”, “Draft” or "Returned" status. You can also cancel the RS, in this page.

Cancel Release Slip

You can carry out a search for the release slips and cancel selected release slips. Once canceled, the RS cannot be used in any transaction. Only release slips, which are in the “Fresh”,  “Draft” or "Returned" status, can be canceled.

• Use the “Select Release Slip” page, to provide search criteria and select an RS for cancellation.

• Click the “Cancel Release Slip” pushbutton, to cancel the selected release slips.

The system updates the status of the RS as “Canceled”.

Modify the release slip details

• Use the “Edit Release Slip” page, to modify all the details pertaining to the RS.

Modify terms and conditions of the Release Slip

You can modify the payment terms and conditions, insurance details, delivery terms and conditions for the parts to be purchased.

• Use the “Edit Terms & Conditions” page, to modify the terms and conditions for the part.

Modify schedule and distribution details

You can modify the delivery schedule for those line items for which multiple delivery schedules are specified. You can modify the various supply dates and the quantity of parts that need to be supplied. You can also modify the warehouses to which the parts need to be delivered.

• Use the “Edit Schedule & Distribution” page, to specify the delivery schedule for the parts in the RS.

Modify tax, charge and discount details at the part and document level

You can modify the TCD details such as the duty, sales tax, discount and freight charges for the various parts in the RS. You can also modify the TCD details for the RS as a whole. Tax and charge adds to the basic value of the RS while discount reduces the basic value.

• Use the “Edit Part TCD Details” page, to modify the tax, charge and discount details for the various parts in the RS.

• Use the “Edit Document TCD Details” page, to modify the tax, charge and discount details for the RS as a whole.

Modify inspection details for the release slip

You can modify the quantitative and qualitative attribute values for the part as per requirement.

• Use the “Edit Inspection Details” page, to modify the quality attributes for the parts.
