Recording part consumption and return details

This page allows you to update the part consumption details for the issued part and removed part and direct part consumption details against each task of an Aircraft Maintenance Execution Reference at both part-level and serial-level. The requested, removed and issued part information with the consumed quantity can be obtained in different tabs by specifying one of the following data elements in the search criteria such as execution reference number / description, aircraft registration number, task number / description, display option of consumption details, part number / description, part type, issue basis, requested work center, requested warehouse, material request priority, and executing the search.

Select the link “Record Part Consumption & Return” in the left pane or in any of the “Discrepancies”, “Work Information”, “Component Replacement” or “Material Request” tabs in the “Record Aircraft Maintenance Execution Details” page.

The “Record Part Consumption & Return” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Note: The system defaults the Aircraft Reg. #, Work Center #, Package #, Task # / Discrepancy #, Material Request # in the Search Criteria and in the multiline, based on the corresponding input from the “Record Aircraft Maintenance Execution Details” page.

Display Option	Use the drop-down list box to specify the option to retrieve the Aircraft Maintenance Execution # matching the search criteria. The system lists the following values: All parts - Select this option to retrieve and display the Aircraft Maintenance Execution Reference # having either Removed Parts, Issued Parts pending for return or at least one part returned against it or direct consumption parts. All Returned Parts - Select this option to retrieve and display the Aircraft Maintenance Execution Reference # having at least one part returned against it. All Pending Return - Select this option to retrieve and display the Aircraft Maintenance Execution Reference # having either Removed Parts or Issued Parts pending for return. Note that only those AME documents of status other than “Draft”, “Fresh” or “Canceled” are retrieved. By default, the system displays “All Parts”, if the "Record Direct Part Consumption" tab is defaulted based on the process parameter defined in the “Common Master” business component. Else, the system defaults “All Pending Return”.
Aircraft Reg #	The registration number of the aircraft for which the execution reference # is applicable. (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the records having aircraft registration number similar to the value entered here. Help facility available.
Execution Ref. # / Description	The execution reference number / description of the execution reference document for which the part consumption details must be retrieved. (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code / description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the packages having similar execution reference number / description. The execution reference # entered must be in status other than “Fresh”, “Cancelled”. Help facility available.
Task Description / Description	The textual description of the task. (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the records that have task description similar to the value entered here. Help facility available.
Part # / Description	The code / description of the part. (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code / description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the packages having similar part # / description of the part removed / issued / requested. Help facility available.
Customer # / Order #	Enter the Customer # to retrieve the AME docs having Customer Order reference, in which the Customer # is same as the entered Customer #. In the editable box provided alongside, enter the Customer Order number to retrieve the AME docs having reference of Customer Order # same as the entered Customer Order #. You can enter the number / description in full or enter it partially using “*” character. You can leave the field blank to retrieve the AME docs irrespective of the Customer # / Customer Order #.
Search On	Use the drop-down list box and select the following values, based on which you wish to retrieve the execution reference documents. Part Type - Select this option and select the part type as “Component”, “Raw Material”, “Consumable”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Kit” or “Miscellaneous” in the drop-down list box provided alongside, to retrieve the AME docs having part type similar to the part type selected. Issue Basis - Select this option and select the issue basis as “Returnable”, “Core-Returnable” or “Non-Returnable” in the drop-down list box provided alongside, to retrieve the AME docs having issue basis similar to the issue basis selected. Issued Warehouse - Select this option and select the warehouse in which the part is requested in the adjacent drop-down list box, to retrieve the AME docs having issued warehouse similar to the warehouse selected. The system lists al the Active warehouses defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component. MR Priority - Select this option and select the MR Priority in the adjacent drop-down list box, to retrieve the AME docs having MR priority similar to the MR Priority selected. The system lists all the active priority descriptions defined in the “Maintain Material Request Priority” activity of the “Logistics Common Masters” business component. The system leaves all the fields blank by default.
Material Request #	The number identifying the material request. (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the records that have material request number similar to the value entered here. Help facility available.
Requested Work Center #	Use the drop-down list box to specify the work center in which the part is requested. The system lists al the Active work centers defined in the “Create Work Center” activity of the “Work Center” business component. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the part consumption details.

Note: You must specify either ‘Aircraft Reg #’ or ‘Execution Ref #’ in the search criteria.

Select the “Return Unconsumed Parts” tab to return issued parts.
Select the “Return Removed Cores” tab to return removed cores.
Select the “Record Direct Part Consumption” tab to record direct part consumption details.
