This page allows you to select a service for editing the details. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Service Main Information” link under the “Part Administration” business component.
The “Select Service #” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you are aware of the service number, for which you wish to edit the details.
Service # |
The unique code identifying the service to be modified (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Select the “Edit Service Information” link provided alongside to edit the details of the service entered.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the service number, for which you wish to edit the details. Data entry in the following fields is optional.
Service # |
The unique code identifying the service to be modified (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the service numbers that are similar to the value entered here. |
Reference Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the reference status of the service to be modified. The system provides the options “Under Creation” and “Active”. |
Service Description |
The description of the service to be modified (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the services that have description similar to the value entered here. |
Key Word |
The key word of the service to be modified (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the key word in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the services that have key words similar to the value entered here. |
Service Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the service, which could be “Regular”, “Conversion” or “Activity”. The system displays the services of the type selected here. |
Service Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the service to be modified. The system lists the service categories defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity that are in the “Active” status. |
Note: Leave all the fields blank, if you want to retrieve all the service numbers.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system retrieves the following in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the search criteria entered.
Note: The system retrieves all services that are in the “Active” or “Under Creation” status in the multiline.

Click the hyperlinked service number in the multiline, to modify the service details.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the service for activation.
Enter the following field below the multiline:

Check this box to select all services listed in the multiline for activation |
Click the “Activate Service” pushbutton to change the Reference Status of the service to “Active” from “Inactive” or “Under Creation” status.
Selecting service for editing – An overview
This page allows you to search and select a service number to edit its details. If you know the service number, you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the service number, reference status, the description of the service, the key word identifying the service, the type of the service and the category of the service. The system retrieves all the service numbers, which are in the “Under Creation”, or “Active” status, based on the search criteria entered.
You can also change the Reference Status of one or more services to “Active” from “Inactive” or “Under Creation” status activate service (s) in this page.
You must enter the planning information for a service only if its Reference Status is “Active”. You may specify the Planning Status of the service in the “Maintain Planning Information” page.
A service can be used for a transaction, such as Purchase Order only if both its Reference Status as well as Planning Status is set to “Active”.
