Creating sub fleet
You can create a sub fleet in this page.
Select the "Create Sub Fleet" link under the "Aircraft Maintenance Forecast" business component.
The “Create Sub Fleet” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences setting" identified by the login user I. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the "Sub Fleet Details" group box:
Sub Fleet # |
A unique number identifying the sub fleet (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. |
Sub Fleet Desc |
The textual description of the sub fleet (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Enter the following fields in the “Forecasting Attribute” group box:
Start Date |
The date starting from which sub fleet becomes effective (Date Format). Mandatory. |
Note: The “Start Date” should be earlier than or the same as the current date.
Std. Horizon (Days) |
The number of days that indicates the span during which the sub fleet is effective for forecast. (Integer). Mandatory. The number should be positive. |
Forecast Numbering Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the numbering type to be used by the system for generating the forecast. Mandatory. The system lists all the numbering types created for the “Aircraft Forecast” transaction in the “Create Numbering Class” activity of the “Document Numbering Class” business component that are valid on the current date. By default, the system sets the field to the numbering type specified as default for the “Aircraft Forecast” transaction. |
Forecast User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the user for the forecast for which you wish to create a sub fleet. The system lists all the ‘active’ quick codes of the type “User Status” as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Utilization Profile |
Use the drop-down list box to select the utilization profile for the sub fleet. The system displays the options “Standard” and “Seasonal Variation”. § Standard - Select this option if you wish to apply the utilization value from the aircraft component § Seasonal Variation - Select this option if you wish to compute the sub fleet utilization value based on the past usage or directly enter the utilization value. |
Enter the following in the “Aircraft Details” multiline:
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft that you wish to include in the sub fleet (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. The aircraft registration number should have already been defined in the “Create Aircraft Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component and should be in “Active” status. |
Note: The “Aircraft Reg # “should not be part of any other ‘active’ sub fleet.
Reference? |
Use the drop-down list box to set the reference for aircraft utilization as “Yes” or “No”. By default, the system sets the field to “Yes”. If you set the field to “Yes”, the seasonal variations corresponding to the aircraft are considered for the sub fleet, while forecasting. |
Note: If the reference is selected as “Yes” and the “Utilization Profile” is set to “Seasonal Variation”, the system retrieves and loads the parameter combo in the “Edit Sub Fleet Utilization” page with all the common consumption parameters from the “Aircraft” business component, on launching the “Edit Sub Fleet Utilization” page.
The system displays the following, on clicking the “Create Sub Fleet” pushbutton:
Forecast # |
The identification number used for tracking the forecast of the aircraft. The system generates the forecast number as per the forecast numbering type selected in “Released” status. |
Aircraft Model # |
The model to which the aircraft belongs. |
Model Description |
