List View
The "List View" enables the user to view the Material Requests by filtering them as per the pre-defined filtered arrived based on the stage of a Material Request document in its life cycle.
To be Assigned
The 'To be Assigned’ tab enables the Material Request Planners to assign the unsatisfied open MRs to an employee.
Select the following check box:
View Assigned |
Select the check box to retrieve the already assigned material request along with the unassigned material request. Note: This field is visible only if the set option "Re-Assignment of Material Requests" is set as ‘Allowed’ in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component. |

The number identifying the unsatisfied material request. |
Need Date |
The date by which the parts are required, as identified in the material request. |
MR Priority |
The material request priority which could be “Normal” or “AOG”. |
Warehouse # |
The number identifying the warehouse for which the material request is raised or the number identifying the warehouse to which the parts are to be transferred. |
Part # |
The part requested in the Material Request document. |
Part Desc. |
The description of the part requested in the Material Request document. |
Req. Qty |
The total quantity of the part required. |
Pend. Qty |
The quantity of part pending for the material request. |
Assignee |
The employee ID to whom the Material Request is assigned. Help facility available. |

Processing Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the processing status of the material request. The system lists all the user defined values along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Remarks |
Any comments or remarks pertaining to the material request. |
Ship By |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the mode of shipment. The system lists all the ‘active’ Carrier/Agency # defined in the “Maintain Carrier /Agency Codes” screen of the Logistics Common Master business component. |
Shipping Instructions |
Any instructions pertaining to the shipment of materials. |
The system displays the following fields:
Closed Qty |
The quantity of part available for the material request. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the required part. |
Part Source |
The source of the required part. |
Part Category |
The category of the required part. |
Stock Status |
The stock status in which the part is required. |
EXT |
Click the icon to navigate to the “Parts Anywhere” screen. |
PMA? |
Indicates whether the part is a Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) part. PMA parts are those parts which are not manufactured and supplied by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), but by an external source, with the approval of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). |
New Part? |
Indicates whether the part required is a new part. |
Scrap Qty Pend. Repl. |
The pending replenishment quantity for the scrapped part. |
Preferred Supplier # |
The default supplier with whom the order must be placed for the material request. |
Requested By |
The number identifying the employee who made the request for the part. |
MR Type |
The type of the material request which could be ‘Planned’, ‘Unplanned’ or ‘For Stock’. |
MR Class |
The material request class which could be ‘Maintenance’, ‘General’ or ‘Replenishment’. |
Work Center |
The number identifying the work center where the parts are required. |
A/C Reg. # |
The aircraft registration number for which the parts are required. |
Main Core Part # |
The part number identifying the main core part. |
Main Core Serial # |
The manufacturer serial number of the main core part. |
Ref. Document |
The code identifying the reference document for the material request. If the MR is a Part Sale Order based MR or Exchange Order based MR and if the Customer Request reference is available for the referred PSO or CO, then the system displays in the following format: "Ref. Line # |
The number identifying the row in the multiline in which the part is entered. For every part number entered, the system generates the line number sequentially. |

To be Planned
The ‘To be Planned’ tab enables the Material Request Planners to plan the unsatisfied open MRs. The employee assigned for the material request can plan various actions at a time (E.g. Purchase Request, Issue, Stock Transfer, Repair Order coverage, etc.). Simulation of Material Request Allocation through open Sourcing Documents is also supported.
The following fields are displayed in addition to the fields existing in the ‘To be assigned’ multiline.

If the Parent Node is selected for processing, then by default the system takes all the child nodes for processing, irrespective of user selection.
If the child node is selected, then the system processes the selected nodes alone, ignoring the actions in the parent node.
The system ensures that the check-box 'Adjust PR against Scrap Qty' is selected only when there is value in “Scrap Qty Pending. Replenishment” field for the Parent record of the child record involved.
The system ensures that the check-box 'Adjust PR against Scrap Qty' is selected only when the action is selected as 'Create Purchase Request'.
Planning in Demand Management Hub
1. VISIBILITY OF PLANNING OPTIONS
Planner can plan the Material Requests displayed in the “To be Planned” list in two ways, either using ‘Propose Allocation’ action or through taking the Planning Options link.
Propose Allocation - On click of the 'Propose Allocation' pushbutton against the material request, the system will display the suggestion of the stock that available in same warehouse and matrix warehouse based on the allocation rules defined in the "Manage Stock Allocation Rules" activity. The available options for a MR-Part # will be displayed in a tree structure along with the corresponding action.
Note: Unlike "Plan Materials" screen, where multiple clicks needs to be performed, all the actions can be completed in a single click post this proposal. For instance, if a MR has 10 EA to be planned, Material Planner can initiate Stock Transfer from multiple warehouses, direct issue from the same warehouse and a Purchase Request on click of the ‘Initiate Action’ pushbutton. Over the stock proposed for allocation, the stock available in any open Repair Orders can be retrieved from the Planning Options link.
Planning Options - Click of the hyperlinked 'Planning option' against the material request, will launch the Help on Material Planning which lists the stock available in the same warehouse, alternate warehouse (as defined in the Set Options screen in Stock Demand Management business component) and all warehouse defined in organizational level. The list of Open Repair Orders for the Part # in the Material Request will also be displayed in the Planning Options screen.
2. INITIATING ACTION
MR planner can select the suggested stock availability either from Proposed Allocation or though Planning Options, as mentioned above.
Select the ‘Action’ as “Create Purchase Request”, “Create Stock Transfer”, “Create Issue”, “Update MR-RO coverage”.
Click ‘Initiate Action’ pushbutton to initiate action on the MRs based on selected stock availability.
3. ACTUAL ACTION
Once the action is initiated for the Material Request by the Planner, the system generates the following documents: Issue, Purchase Request, Purchase Order, Stock transfer Order, etc.
After successful creation of the documents, the Material Requests will be transferred from the ‘To be Planned’ tile to the ‘Planner MR’ tile.
The user who initiated the action for the Material Request will receive a Collaborator Message indicating the generation of the document, if the option ‘Post a Collaborator Message on Successful generation of the Document to the User’ is set as “Required” in the Set Inventory Process Parameters activity of the Logistics Common Master business component.
The documents generated can be tracked in the hub until the Material Request is closed.
Planned MR
The ‘Planned MR’ tab enables the users to view the coverage of the planned Material Requests.
The following fields are displayed in addition to the fields existing in the ‘To be Planned’ multiline.
The system displays the following field:

The quantity of parts pending in the material request. |
PR Qty |
The quantity of parts requested to be purchased. |
Order Qty |
The quantity of parts ordered to be purchased. If Order is "Purchase Order" the system displays the difference of the "Order Qty" and "Short Closed Qty" in PO - Line # Level. The Status of PO will be in "Fresh", "Open", "Amended", "under Amended" and "Under Authorization". If the Order is "Repair Order" the system displays the Sum of "quantity" in the "Maint. Object Detail" Multiline. The status of the Repair Order will be in "Fresh and Released". If the multiple RO's has linked to MR # the system displays the sum of the Qty in ROs. If the Order is "Stock Transfer Order" the system displays the "Qty." from the Part Information multiline. The Status of the Stock Transfer Order will be in "Fresh and Partially Issued". On Click of the Order Qty, the system displays the document Detail in the “Planning Info” multiline Note: PO must be raised against the PR with MR #-Line # as reference. For example. Against a MR1 line 1, 5 qty is requested. For the MR1, PR 1 is created. For PR 1, two PO is created with different Line #. (PO1 and PO2). In that case load the Sum of Qty from two PO's against the line #. |
In Transit Qty |
The quantity of the Stock Transfer Order raised against the MR #-Line #. The status of the Stock Transfer Order will be in "Authorized and Issue not Generated". On Click of the In Transit Qty, the system displays the document Detail in the Planning Info multiline. |
Receipt Qty |
The difference of "Qty." and "Rejected Qty" in Receipt Document created against the MR #-Line #. The Receipt Document will be "PO receipt", "Repair Receipt" or "Stock transfer Receipt". On Click of the Receipt Qty, the system displays the document Detail in the Planning Info multiline. |
Issue Qty |
The quantity in issue document that has Parent Ref. Doc as MR #(only the Line # considered for count). The issue document will be Direct/Maintenance Issue. Once the issue has generated, the quantity displayed in the Order will be blank or get reduced based on the Issue Quantity. The Status of the Document shown is Fresh and authorized. On Click of the Issue Qty, the system displays the document Detail in the “Planning Info” multiline. |
