Help on MR Planning Options
This page enables the user to retrieve the various documents available for planning of a Material Request. This screen provides the Stock/Open RO quantity and identifies them to cover Open Material Request.
Select the “Planning Option” icon in the multiline of the “Demand Management Hub” screen.
The “Help on MR Planning Options” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the header section:
Material Request # |
The material request # from which the planning option icon is clicked in Demand Management Hub. |
Part # |
The part requested in the material request document. |
Part Description |
The description of the part. |
Pending Qty |
The quantity of part pending in the material request. |
Requested UOM |
The unit of measurement of the requested parts in the material request. |
Check the following check boxes in the header section:
Same WH Stock |
Select the check box to retrieve the selected part available from the Warehouse where the Material Request has been raised based on the requested stock status, requested condition and Expiry date. |
Alternate WH Stock |
Select the check box to retrieve the selected part in the Warehouse #s defined as matrix warehouse for the MR Warehouse for MR Part # - Part Type - Priority combination set in the “Set Options” screen of the Stock Demand Management business component based on the requested stock status, requested condition and Expiry date. |
All WH Stock |
Select the check box to retrieve all the selected parts available in the Warehouse #s other than the MR Requesting Warehouse #, based on the requested stock status, requested condition and Expiry date. |
Open RO |
Select the check box to retrieve all the parts from the repair order with statuses Authorized/Amended. |
U/S Stock Qty |
Select the check box to retrieve the unserviceable quantity for the Part# which is requested in the Material Request. |
Show Allocation Rule Complied Stock only |
Select the check box to retrieve only the parts that are complied with the Allocation Rules of the corresponding material request. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results in the multiline.
The system displays the following fields in the “Planning Option” multiline:
Part # |
The parts requested in the material request document that are available in the stock / open repair order. |
Part Description |
The description of the part. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the parts. |
Warehouse # |
The number identifying the warehouse of the part's availability in the stock. Note: If the planning option is RO then the Return Warehouse # is displayed. |
Warehouse Nature |
The warehouse nature of the part which could be “Same Warehouse” or “Alternate Warehouse”. |
Stock Status |
The stock status of the Part #. Note: This field will be blank for open Purchase Orders and Rental Orders. |
Doc. Type |
The type of the document in which the selected part # is requested or ordered which is “Repair Order”. |
Document # |
The document number in which the selected part # is requested or ordered. |
Available Qty |
The quantity of parts that is available for allocation. Note: The field displays either the Order quantity or the quantity available in the Stock based on the stock status. |
U/S Stock Qty |
The unserviceable quantity for the Part # which is requested in the Material Request. |
Note: The unserviceable quantity will be displayed based on the set option ‘Basis of U/S Stock Qty to be considered for Material Planning’ defined in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” screen of the “Logistics Common Master” business component.
· If the set option is set as “1”, then the system displays the unserviceable stock quantity as the total of stock with available Qty > 0 (Excluding Allocated Qty), across all warehouses with the Condition as 'Unserviceable'.
· If the set option is set as “2”, then the system displays the unserviceable stock quantity as the total of stock with available Qty > 0 (Excluding Allocated Qty), in the Warehouses for which the Warehouse Category identified corresponds to Unserviceable Warehouse as defined in the “Material Inquiry Set Options” screen.
· If the set option is set as “3”, then the system displays the unserviceable stock quantity as the total of stock with available Qty > 0 (Excluding Allocated Qty), in the Warehouses defined as Unserviceable Warehouse in the “Set Options” screen under “Component Maintenance Planning” business component.
Part Planning Info. |
The concatenation of Trading Partner, Trading Partner # and the planning quantity. Example: Owned – Min Qty: 5 EA; Customer– 400007 – ABC Airlines – Min Qty: 5 EA; Customer – 400008 – XYZ Airlines – Re-Order Level: 5 EA. |
Expected Del. Date |
The expected delivery date of the part. For RO, the Repair Shop Shipping Date will be displayed. |
Doc. Status |
The status of the document #. |
Doc. Priority |
The priority of the document #. |
Doc. Sub-Type |
The sub type of the document #. |
Collaborator |
Click the Collaborator icon to launch Collaborator with respective Document #. |
Select the line # and click the “Ok” pushbutton to transfer the details to the “Demand Management Hub” screen.
To proceed,
Select the “Inquire Stock Availability” link at the bottom of the screen to view the stock availability details of the selected part in the inventory.
Select the “Inquire Material Count and Location Details” link at the bottom of the screen to view the count summary of various physical locations where a part is found.
