In this page, you can create an offline area and associate work centers to the offline area to operate aircraft located in the offline area.
Select the “Manage Offline Area” activity under the “Configurator” business component.
The “Manage Offline Area” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date & Time Format |
The format in which the date and time fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following in the “Add Offline Area” group box:
Offline Area # |
The unique code identifying the offline area you wish to create. Offline area represents an area where connectivity is intermittent or connectivity does not exist. (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Area Description |
The textual description of the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
Assignment Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select one of the following options for associating to offline area. Mandatory.
By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center to be assigned to the offline area. The system all the ‘Active’ work centers of Work Center Class “Execution” and whose ‘Work Center Capability’ is “All”, “Line Jobs” and “Hangar Jobs”, in alphabetical order. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Machine # |
The code identifying the machine i.e. laptop associated to the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 80). |
Remarks |
Any additional remarks related to the addition of the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 2000). |
Click the “Add” pushbutton to create a new offline area.
The system performs the following on clicking the “Add” pushbutton:
The newly created Offline Area # and the related details are transferred to the multiline.
On successful creation of
Offline Area, the system displays the icon ‘ ’ in the
“Add Offline Area” group box, to map the work center to the offline area.
Note: The Offline Area # - Work Center # mapping must be unique.
If the Offline Area is created without work center association i.e. Work Center # is not selected, Status of the offline area is updated as “Fresh”. If the Offline Area is created along with work center association, Status is updated as “Active”.
Enter the following in the “Edit Offline Area” group box:
Search On |
Use the drop-down list box and select the one of the following options to retrieve the offline area details matching the search results.
By default, the system displays “Offline Area #”. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the offline area. The system lists the following values:
The system displays “Active”, by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the offline area details.
Enter or modify the following fields in the multiline:
Note: You cannot modify the offline area details in the multiline, if the ‘Operational Status’ of the Offline Area is "Initiated" or "Operational".
Offline Area # |
The unique code identifying the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |

The textual description of the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
Note: The ‘Offline Area #’ and the ‘Area Description’ cannot be modified, if the Status of the offline area is "Active" and ‘Operational Status’ is “Blank", "Terminated", "Force Terminated", "Initiated", "Operational".
Machine # |
The code identifying the machine associated to the offline area (Alphanumeric, 80). |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the offline area. The system lists the following values:
You cannot modify the Status from “Fresh” to “Active” or from “Active” / “Inactive” to “Fresh”. The system displays “Fresh”, by default. |

Work Center Mapped |
The code identifying the work centers mapped to the offline area. |
Map Work Center |
The text ‘Map WC’ displayed here is hyperlinked to invoke the “Associate Work Center to Offline Area” page which allows you to map work centers to the offline area. You cannot launch the “Associate Work Center to Offline Area” page, if the Operational Status of the Offline area is “Initiated” or “Operational”. |
View Warehouse |
The text ‘View WH’ displayed here is hyperlinked to invoke the “View Associated Offline Warehouse” page which allows you to view the associated offline warehouse. |

Any additional remarks related to the creation of the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 2000). |
The system displays the following fields:
Operational Status |
Indicates the operational status of the offline area. The system displays one of the following values:

Count of A/C Mapped |
The number of aircraft mapped to the offline area which is operational. |
Updated by / Date |
The name of the login user / date by whom / at which the offline area operations are updated or modified. |
Note: The Offline Area # and the Machine # must not be duplicated in the multiline. Multiple Machine #, if exists may be entered with ‘Comma’ separator.
The system displays an error message if any concurrent user attempts to modify the retrieved offline area details.
Click the “Update” pushbutton to update the modified offline area details.
The system allows you to:
Activate inactivated offline area only if active work center mapping exists.
Inactivate offline area only if the Status of the Offline Area # is "Fresh" or " Active" and Operational Status is Blank, "Terminated" or "Force Terminated".
