In this page, you can create an offline area and associate work centers to the offline area to operate aircraft located in the offline area.

The “Manage Offline Area” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

Offline Area #

The unique code identifying the offline area you wish to create. Offline area represents an area where connectivity is intermittent or connectivity does not exist. (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Area Description

The textual description of the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory.

Assignment Type

Use the drop-down list box to select one of the following options for associating to offline area. Mandatory.

  • Aircraft - Select this option if you wish to associate aircraft to the offline area.

  • Work Center - Select this option if you wish to associate work center to the offline area.

By default, the system leaves the field blank.

Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to select the work center to be assigned to the offline area. The system all the ‘Active’ work centers of Work Center Class “Execution” and whose ‘Work Center Capability’ is “All”, “Line Jobs” and “Hangar Jobs”, in alphabetical order.

By default, the system leaves the field blank.

Machine #

The code identifying the machine i.e. laptop associated to the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 80).

Remarks

Any additional remarks related to the addition of the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 2000).

The system performs the following on clicking the “Add” pushbutton:

Note: The Offline Area # - Work Center # mapping must be unique.

Search On

Use the drop-down list box and select the one of the following options to retrieve the offline area details matching the search results.

  • Offline Area # - Select this option and enter the offline area # in the editable box provided alongside to retrieve the offline areas with the number similar to the number  entered. You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

  • Work Center # - Select this option and enter the work center number in the editable box provided alongside to retrieve the offline areas mapped to the work center number similar to the number entered. You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

  • Warehouse # - Select this option and enter the warehouse number in the editable box provided alongside to retrieve the offline areas mapped to the warehouse number similar to the number entered. You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

  • Machine # - Select this option and enter the machine number in the editable box provided alongside to retrieve the offline areas mapped to the machine number similar to the number entered. You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

By default, the system displays “Offline Area #”.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the offline area. The system lists the following values:

  • Active - Select this option to retrieve the existing offline area for which work center mapping exists.

  • Fresh - Select this option to retrieve offline areas that are newly created.

  • Inactive - Select this option to retrieve offline areas that are inactive. i.e. offline area not used and offline area operations do not exist / terminated. Aircraft do not exist in inactive offline area.

The system displays “Active”, by default.

Note: You cannot modify the offline area details in the multiline, if the ‘Operational Status’ of the Offline Area is "Initiated" or "Operational".

Offline Area #

The unique code identifying the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Area Description

The textual description of the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory.

Note: The ‘Offline Area #’ and the ‘Area Description’ cannot be modified, if the Status of the offline area is "Active" and ‘Operational Status’ is “Blank", "Terminated", "Force Terminated", "Initiated", "Operational".

Machine #

The code identifying the machine associated to the offline area (Alphanumeric, 80).

Assignment Type

Use the drop-down list box to select one of the following options for associating to offline area. Mandatory.

  • Aircraft - Select this option if you wish to associate aircraft to the offline area.

  • Work Center - Select this option if you wish to associate work center to the offline area.

By default, the system leaves the field blank.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the offline area. The system lists the following values:

  • Active - Select this option to indicate that offline area already exists with the work center mapping.

  • Fresh - Select this option to indicate offline area is newly created.

  • Inactive - Select this option to indicate that the offline area is inactive. i.e. offline area is not used and offline area operations do not exist / terminated. Aircraft do not exist in the inactive offline area.

You cannot modify the Status from “Fresh” to “Active” or from “Active” / “Inactive” to “Fresh”.

The system displays “Fresh”, by default.

The system displays the following fields:

Work Center Mapped

The code identifying the work centers mapped to the offline area.

Map Work Center

The text ‘Map WC’ displayed here is hyperlinked to invoke the “Associate Work Center to Offline Area” page which allows you to map work centers to the offline area.

You cannot launch the “Associate Work Center to Offline Area” page, if the Operational Status of the Offline area is “Initiated” or “Operational”.

View Warehouse

The text ‘View WH’ displayed here is hyperlinked to invoke the “View Associated Offline Warehouse” page which allows you to view the associated offline warehouse.

Remarks

Any additional remarks related to the creation of the offline area. (Alphanumeric, 2000).

The system displays the following fields:

Operational Status

Indicates the operational status of the offline area. The system displays one of the following values:

  • Operational - Indicates that the offline area is under operation.

  • Initiated - Indicates that the field operations are initiated in the offline area.

  • Pending Initiated - Indicates that the field operations are pending to be initiated in the offline area.

  • Terminated - Indicates that the aircraft / work center functions are stopped from operation after the field operations are complete.

  • Force Terminated - Indicates that the field operations are force terminated due to unavoidable situations like aircraft crash.

Count of A/C Mapped

The number of aircraft mapped to the offline area which is operational.

Updated by / Date

The name of the login user / date by whom / at which the offline area operations are updated or modified.

Note: The Offline Area # and the Machine # must not be duplicated in the multiline. Multiple Machine #, if exists may be entered with ‘Comma’ separator.

The system displays an error message if any concurrent user attempts to modify the retrieved offline area details.
